It is interesting how i can agree so much with mabel despite me liking old games while he the newer games. I do not get people’s fascination with gow 2018. I think gow 2018 is the worst gow apart from Sigrun which forces you to master most mechanics of the game like gna does not. Hrolf ng+ does but not quick turn. Anw, i think storywise gow 2005-2010 are the best while the norse ones suck. But gameplay-wise, ragnarok is the best. It has step dodge that the greek games do not, which is useful for combo continuation. Gow 3 might have a lot of combos, but it is pointless if you cannot pause them to resume after a step dodge. And gow ragnarok also has parry system that pauses & resumes combo (dauntless, shatter star & onslought), which gow 2018 does not have because, like gow2-3’s Jason’s sleece the parry there is only useful for counterattack. Furthermore, gow 2018 combat is mostly done with the axe, which iirc if like ragnarok the pride of frost combo CANNOT be cancelled for urgent dodge or parry like ragnarok/valhalla’s evasive rampage, rising wind & blade of olympus lightx3-Heavy finisher combo. So if i were to blame someone for Gow’s downfall, it would be cory barlog. He ruins the story of the old games but does not make up for it in combat like mihir seth. He thinks just because he became a dad irl he has a more interesting story to tell than marianne krawczyk who based her stories on greek tragedy and realistic behavior of historical spartans (who are known to value differently in ethics than moderns) with ptsd. I mean, the story of a man learning to become a dad is FAR LESS interesting of a plot than the story of how a man who unwillingly slain his already established fam behaves afterwards and resolves his guilt after years of qualmless actions to cover up that one guilt. And yes marianne who wrote the old games was a woman. But that does not matter. Because being real is the virtue, which both loser men and sjws lack. Unfortunately marianne is a bit of a weeb but thankfully that is not the part of her that inspired gow. The angry characters of fake-chad anime do not behave similarly Note: i know both greek & norse gows have some “underground” combat techs that make comparing the combats more complicated. But i was talking only about the surface level combat mechanic here

Sometimes I don't understand how they can tolerate that in a video game there are gods, dragons, magic and people who can turn into animals, but they mark their difference with a character with brown skin color. That cannot exist in the heads of these people. People, forced inclusion does not exist, we are only humans who have their own ways of living and their physical bodies that one does not choose as a being by birth. If people are shocked by these things, it shows that you are not mentally well and they should seek help for filling you with hatred for things that do not exist.

It will always catch my attention how Draupnir's Spear makes the combat feel more complete in Ragnarok than the combat in Gow 2018. When I replayed Gow 2018 I noticed how unbalanced the fist combat was since the stun bar fills up super fast, although Spartan anger was also along with the fist combat. and they decided to add cholera which is much better. In itself, it was the best decision to eliminate it since it was somewhat abuseable. Although well now the spear is the one with the most broken runic attacks, it is even the one that charges the fastest and that spear is the one that makes me want to fight the 9 dragons again in the story mode LMAO that's why when They ask me which is the best in the saga. I always answer RAGNAROK WINGS!

Did you know that Gow Ragnarok and Gow 2018 give a total of 65 hours of gameplay? And the classic saga lasts 35 hours in 6 games? 💀 wtf?? And here I thought it would last less: V a third game was very risky. I will be realistic Santa Monica is not very good at making stories Gow 2018 and Ragnarok are not completely saved but the story is now more consistent and is clear about what it has to tell. a third game would possibly suffer again from the problems of the classic saga. OH FUCK if Ragnarok seems to some to be over too quickly. I don't want to imagine when they see the history of the classic saga that it is saturated and super rushed xD. I didn't know before but now it made me think a lot about how sometimes fans also speak out of ignorance. Now I understand why the intermittency of the characters in Gow 3 is too much. Nowadays, video game cameras have been fixed a lot. Whether it's Resident Evil, God of War, even from Software did a good job with the camera in Sekiro, it's not perfect but it's decent. even Nioh did a good job. but there is still a lot to improve with the camera designs or maybe the level design but it is a big improvement compared to 14 years ago.

This Kagutsuchi build could have been significantly better. There are a lot of attacks that you can punish instead of running away such as 3:12:48. You did 7pc Acala and 6pc Kagu which means you could have gone for crit since your guard is so tanky. I saw you never tried confusing bosses which would have helped... Could have gone 7pc Kuga, 6pc Susano / 6pc Kagu, 3pc Tusukyomi (30% defense reduction so fire based yokai abilities did more damage) and 5pc Onmyo Austerity (water and lightning familiars) / 7pc Kagu, 6pc Fly Kato (massive damage on fire feathers or water and lightning for confusion), etc Could have used Suwa Helmet and Koroka Soul Core for even more fire damage with up to around 100% fire damage (including the elemental damage from accessories, scroll, and that one GS). Not sure why you opted for fire weapons; you could have gone for corruption + NMB and spread out your cores among your 2 guardian spirits such as Ippon + Kasha with Yokai Ability Damage + Yokai Ability Damage (yokai type) on 3 secondary GS cores while putting anima bonuses on your primary GS cores so you can spam fire yokai abilities more or even purity so you could zero ki enemies faster and deal huge fire damage with soul cores/jutsu. Swap to secondary GS when you use primary yokai abilities to inherit the yokai ability damage effects. The fire Oni-Bi could have been used if you wanted to stay on theme since it provides more accumulation than the fire imbue lines on weapons and then used a secondary purity/corruption GS with Mitsume Yazura to inflict those two elements. There's plenty more but it'd be nice to see an updated attempt. I cleared SoP +9 with Kagutsuchi before and it's plenty viable. If you want to deal more damage to fire immune bosses or enemies, you can always throw on a Nuppeppo soul core, soul purge talisman, etc for those specific bosses. Heck, or just use Last Gambit since the fire immune enemies are some of the easiest in the game like Shuten Doji, Yoshitsune, Ryomen Sukuna, etc. If I remember correctly, Wheelmonk could deal around 10k fire damage per hit without confusion or zero ki with all the fire damage buffs. The only way to defeat the poison berserker. It's throwing away nightmares. It worked for me although also use the corela enchantment, it is very effective if you don't want to level up. I imagined it and it was a bunch of meaningless filler LMAO making trilogies is very risky now that I think about it.
