Typically that’s all we get at 10u. Goes to two umps at 11u when leads and balks go into effect. Big umpire shortage these days.

Not streamed, it’s recorded in 4K on a GoPro and then rendered using Adobe Premiere. All the gear is listed in the videos description.

I haven’t had any problems with overheating since I moved to an external battery and removed the GoPro battery. Once I did that my issues with overheating went away. My settings can vary a lot, and I don’t have it in front of me but it’s nothing crazy. I record in 4K then render at as high settings as my old computer can handle lol. Takes a lot of time but I try to squeeze the best quality I can as I enjoy rewatching them as they get older.

Thanks for your reply. Your videos look great, which is why I asked. Tried External battery without the gopro battery, but my gopro still overheats after about 27mins 4k/30fps. Thought I ask if you had other tips. Guess I'll need to play with the settings more 😊 Thanks again!

I had issues with overheating but once I went external it went away. It will occasionally lock up, but that’s pretty rare and considering how much I record hard to complain. I’ve seen some people who sell shade hoods and stuff for their cameras and mounts. On really hot sunny days I’ve tossed a white towel over it just to keep the direct sun off it. Other than that I don’t do much. I’m pretty sure I’m 4k @ 30fps recording on the GoPro and then render some customized version of the Adobe Premiere 4k YT render settings. It’s just been a ton of trial and error over the years and hundreds of videos.

I have most of my gear listed in the video description. As far as positioning I’ve always used a LynkSpyder mount that attaches to the fenders behind the plate. Super secure. Other then that it takes some trial and error to find what angle etc works best for you. If you have specific questions feel free to ask away.

Yea 20 is Connor. He’s usually 5 in baseball but as the underclassman 7th grader he had to settle for what numbers were left! Lol

So basically: Group A plays the 1st & 3rd quarters. Group B plays 2nd & 4th In the 5th quarter coaches can play whoever is they want, so it’s full competitive quarter. Typically your best vs their best. It’s just a way to spread out playing time. At least where we live Middle School sports are turning less competitive and more developmental focused.

@@thosemillerboysYT Thanks for the explanation. I've watched quite a few games ranging from 5th grade to High school varsity and haven't seen the 5th qtr before or at least noticed. That is an interesting concept. I usually watch Triton Trojans school out of Indiana and I've seen in games where A plays 1st and 3rd and B play 2nd and 4th or if there are enough players between the two teams then A has their own game and B has their own game. I like the developmental aspect, letting the kids be kids and learn as they go along. In the games I've watched, they don't always call every wrong. And a lot of times the refs will talk to the players and explain what they did and so forth. I've watched one triton team start as 5th graders. They are in the 8th grade now. It's interesting to see how their skill develops as they grow older and watch how the refs handle the games and calls. I'm currently working on 3 different novels about school and sports. One is a regular type school. One is Cyberpunk. And the other is what I call Old School. The concept is older adults like in their 60s and 70s go back to school to relive their younger years. They aren't intermingling with kids. They have their own schools to attend. Interesting dynamics. I got the idea from a youtube video where a 100 year old woman was running a 100 yard dash and broke a record. My dad died earlier this year. I was taking care of him, so my want to do anything has greatly diminished. Hopefully, I will finish these novels someday before it's my time to go. Very sorry to hear about your loss! It can be hard after for sure but given time those passions will return and perhaps in different and new ways. Hang in there! Find what you enjoy! Much or what you describe is done around here as well, this is the first year of school basketball but some of the boys have been doing CYO basketball for years. Covid tossed a wrench into that development cycle much like it didn’t everything else so as you watch you’ll probably notice kids all over spectrum developmentally. The idea is to give them a taste of team basketball, and move them along into the high school years where it gets competitive. The 5th quarter is basically just adding more time since everyone is there already, specifically the referees, and it acts as a bridge from the developmental middle school game up into the competitive HS game. Formats change all the time though. My oldest is a freshman and when he was in 7th he didn’t do this format, he did the classic blending of team with 7th and 8th graders like I did when a kid. Then in 8th they switched to the grade by grade format. Feels like searching for the best pathway.

Generally we teach to take the mask off and toss out of your way as soon as possible, so as your turning to my o get the ball at the backstop you’d be removing your mask at the same time. Just gives you better vision etc, but it’s not exactly required that you do so.

It seems to change every day. They have a bunch of injuries and stuff. I think right now he’s A and B group because of injuries.

This is the Little League World Series Williamsport tournament. These are district games, where EVERYONE starts.

@@thosemillerboysYT the little league world series in williamsport is majors. that tournament is mainly 11 and 12u kids. so if it is 10u there is no way it is the LLWS where the winners go to state and then regionals and finally to Williamsport. 10U allstars stop at state. there is no World Series for that age.

Do you know if it 4k?Just super clear I’ve been doing 1080 but now I have a battery pack to record full games in higher quality. Your quality looks good on the tv and phone.

I will have to take a look next time but I’m pretty sure I record at 4K but keep it at 30 frames per second instead of 60 to try to keep the file sizes down. I then render the final video using the Adobe Premiere UA-cam 4K settings. Sometimes I play with these render settings but they are pretty standard to the Premiere settings.

Shortage of umpires. They used to have 2 umpires for 11u and up but it recently changed to 13u and up because they don't have enough umpires. It stinks but not much we can do about it except be nice to the umpires that we have lol.
