Let's check out the Heritage Rough Rider revolvers!!
The Heritage Rough Rider revolvers are really nice replica (I don't like using that word for these pistols) pieces. They're very durable and extremely well made. They're not on par for a "replica" at all, but function as well as you would expect the real thing to. Come check it out!!

Переглядів 2092 роки тому
This is an overview review (sooo much information out there) of a 300 year old Keris (Kris). The Keris is a unique edged weapon or dagger used in the Indonesian area. They go back centuries and are tied, heart and soul, to the culture and status of families. Learn more about this piece here. Please be sure to like/subscribe if you haven't already. 4lb trigger pull and this gun is fantastic, loved your video ty sir
Yes, it’s a very smooth and light action. Love to fire these! Thank you!
The “butplate” is called a mag plate and it adds 2 rounds
Thanks
Such a great firearm
I agree! I really like it!!
Nice 1911 llama Ive seen the same model here at local pawnshop for around $350.00, thinking of buying it.
Thanks! I like it. A touch heavy after firing some other models, but it fits well in my hand and shoots well. I got mine at a pawn shop as well. I think it was around the same price... it's been a few years.
Appreciate the effort. But definitely run your brush from the chamber side out the muzzle. You can ruin your rifling doing it this way.
Thanks for the tip
You did not use any cleaner, just lube oil. Also never run your brush from the muzzle end. You really need a gun cleaning kit with a mat, not the foam from the Canik gun case.
I didn't use cleaner because at the time it hadn't been fired much and I just wanted to give it a once over and touch it up. At some point I should get a mat... just not at the top of my priorities at the moment. Thanks for the input, though.
When cocking a Colt style single action revolver, regardless if it is the first, second or third click, always bring it to full cock before lowering the hammer. If you don't you will get a turn line around the cylinder. You can also get a turn line from a revolver not properly timed. A turn line is a unslightly ring around the cylinder. Even with non Colt style revolvers, bring to full cock mode before lowering the hammer.
Thanks for the info/tip! I was not aware of this.
Great detailed video! I have a question, when your slide is locked does your barrel have a bit of rattle?
i have a mete sft and yes it rattles just a tiny bit
Just ever so slightly... Nothing major. Great question!
That's normal with most semi-auto , like Glock. Don't freak out and think your weapon is jacked up. Lol I've seen many people suffer from severe anxiety and depression when they thinkbon duch a way.. lol! Seriously though, it's made to run. As long as you take proper care of your tp9sfx, you csn run that SOB HARD!
Thank you, Sir, for sharing. Your video is helpful.
You are welcome
Just picked on of these up and taking to the range this weekend. So stoked! Love the hoodie too, BBN let’s go 🔵⚪️
The Canik is so nice to shoot!! Have fun! Let me know what you think!
My barkeep runs fine bought a six inch version would not rotate the cylinder for the 22 lr but the 22 wmr works fine in it so bought another six inch now I own 3 and happy with them even the one I can only shoot 22 wmr through and I find when I ride the fence it’s the one I carry most
That's great! After reviewing my friend's Rough Rider, I want to get another one. I sold the one I had years ago. It was fun to shoot and I miss it. LOL. I don't have a clue what to do for the ones that only work with WMR, maybe contact Heritage and see if they have a suggestion to resolve this? Thanks for watching and responding!!
Unless you have to you shouldn't clean the barrel from the muzzle end!
Nice tip. Thanks.
Buyers beware! Buy this pistol and from then on out you'll spend a fortune on ammo! Bought mine around a year and a half ago and have put like 4,000 rds through it! No issues at all. Just pick up another 1,000 rds of 115gr fmj . I'm in deep with this one lol
Truth!! It's definitely fun to shoot!! LOL
That grip! 😱
You're not crazy about the grip? I rather like it. It fits my hand really well. I know some like more stippling for a more secure hold, or some like smoother because stippling bothers their hands... but this one works really well for me. Thanks for checking out the video!
Love that sweatshirt!!!
Thanks!
👍
They don't come loaded? Deal breaker.
LOL it would be nice, wouldn't it?
The "slide" is ported for looks and slight reduction in weight. The barrel has to be ported to reduce recoil which this one is not. Nice gun!
Thanks!
Its an 18 +2 clip
Ahh ok. I stand corrected. I was using info from the website.
Right
@@ecobasetech4558 I know that. I agreed that 18+2 capacity is correct.
I have the Ruger Wrangler and can confirm that it’s a lot of fun + will fire all economical bulk ammo. Go ahead fire a couple hundred rounds - you’ll still have some $ left over. Seriously considering getting one of these.
As I said, I loved firing mine with the faux pearl grips. I wouldn't mind buying another (or couple LOL). They're seriously fun to shoot.
I might get one of these for Christmas. Very excited. I'm 18 but I can own a pistol if it's gifted to me. Lots of people say these are crap and lots of people say they're incredible but honestly I think it depends on which one you get
Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the one I had and had no issues with it. From what I've seen on some reviews - there is an adjustment screw on the side that goes with the trigger pull and part of the settings in that... and sometimes that needs adjusted or is off a little. Not a huge thing, but for people that don't know - ti's an issue. But I've seen mostly good reviews on them. And I loved mine... makes me want another. Best of luck to you! If you get one, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did mine.
Sammy Whammy My 4.75" Rough Rider is my second most fun gun to shoot. Just check and inspect the revolver before you buy it for defects or damage including the muzzle crown. Make sure the revolver functions properly including the timing, chamber to forcing cone alignment, and cylinder lock up. I missed a muzzle crown mar on mine when I bought it but I just did a crown job on it and it shoots great now. With the crown mar it would shoot like a shotgun pattern rather than shoot a bullet group. Tighten all the screws with thread locker and you should be good. Do not fan the hammer. You should read the owner manual that says not to fan the hammer or you could damage the revolver. I have not had any problems with my sights but if you do need to adjust the front sight for elevation and windage, you can either file down or build up (with JB Weld steel epoxy) the front sight for elevation and you can get a strap wrench and in a padded bench vice you can slightly turn the barrel left or right for windage. Do not bend the front sight or you could break it off.
I'm dying to know. Did you get one?
Not crap at all. Not a top of the line, all steel Colt clone but for the money they are great. I like how you can buy all kinds of grips and most importantly to me, PARTS!
@@johnnottahcal5725 Yes! Being able to get parts and alternate grips, cylinders, etc. is a HUGE plus!!
We have owned the plain Jane model for several years, several thousand rounds downrange...the gun paid for its self long ago...other than constant screw tightening the gun has been flawless, and we kinda like the wear and tear shown on the gun...like a Timex⌚, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking...lots of folks complain about these guns, I think many more are happy shooting cheap bulk ammo at whatever they see...we've even staged the gun, with mag cylinder (another reason we chose it) in the basement (laundry down there)...for defense it isn't ideal, but it is a gun, pretty reliable, and reasonably accurate...
Thanks for the awesome comment/review! I really enjoyed the one I used to have. It was definitely fun to fire! I'm glad you like yours. I think they're a really nice gun, especially for the price. Have a great day!
I received the following (I had posted on his video) from a very knowledgeable collector in Singapore and greatly appreciate his insight and information!! Thank you, again, JoFe! Very much appreciated!! @TheKerisCollector That is a fine specimen example you have there sir. Gandar iras sampir with open penduk fittings. Gandar iras means its made from a single piece of wood and not joint cut. Quite rare these days. Gorgeous hilt and mendak. Fittings are still good and looks well maintained. The blade in my assessment is definitely old. I have several of these types. Might be better to just remove the surface rust and let dry, followed by oiling. Personally I would not recommend to apply warangan onto this type of blade. The material was made to not require warangan. I’ve experimented on these blade types before and wished I had not decided to apply warangan onto it. It was way better without the warangan. The purpose of warangan is to protect the parts containing “besi baja” (iron) from rusting. The material from this type of blade somewhat is more like stainless steel in nature though the exact formulation is still inconclusive to date. My theory is, us East Asians already discovered stainless steel before the West. Not all keris were made to have warangan applied on to it. Warangan application is a fairly recent innovation from the mid 1800s. Prior to that, no mention of this in any surviving manuscripts from this region, related to the Keris.😊 - JoFe.

Mine has like a 3lb trigger factory 🏭 very interesting, i feel it kinda of light
Wow!! That does sound kinda light! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for the detailed video! First 9mm I've ever owned so I was unsure of how to clean it.
I'm glad it helps! I appreciate your watching. Just definitely make sure it's unloaded/cleared before you start. Be sure you've got a good lube to replace after cleaning. Enjoy!
