There aren't any clips just put upwards on the handle, it's a snug fit, takes a lot of effort, tight fit, no clips!!!!!!!!

Why didn't you do the video while you were doing the old one first??????

I thought it was my problem i did that car started after 15 min playing with the key to start before this video, i did what you did on and it magically started I was exited but next day again couldn’t start my car and this didn’t work anymore. 1 h tried different things , fuses etc nothing worked than i hit my key several times and car started.. I think its either bad key or starter relay. So am going to buy $20 relay before $350 key first .

It does not work with my '99 SLK (R170), it keeps saying "starting error" as soon as I put the ignition in the second position. :(

I had the same problem with my 320slk. Cheapest interior of any car I have owned. I still find it staggering how Mercedes could use plastic for entire dashboard. Why could they not have used metal like the older pagoda top. In Australia my 320slk cost $120,000 in 2001. I loved this car but it broke me financially. I sold it with only 130,000kms on the speedo.

Video is not clear as to where the clips are. id tried to remove my hand brake cover using this video , it was not possible

Me neither (simply because they ‘re not there)! What does work is spray a little WD-40 between the rubber cover and the metal, wait for a few minutes, and it slides right off.

I stripped all the oem-paint off my interior, fixed alot of cracks and broken mounts with both epoxy, and superglue-infused very thin-fibre-glass matting and repainted with the Australian colour matched VIPOND's TautFlex, I feel it is very hard wearing now ... I had previously used Volico, but thought the Australian Vipond TautFlex was better
