Hi, Welcome to our channel. Novices to campervanning when we retired, we are busy travelling in our VW Transporter campervan, 'Hygge', exploring and sharing with our youtube subscribers some of our experiences as retirees. Six years later and luckily we are still going. It has given us so much freedom, keeps us fit and active and our brains going too. And more importantly we still love it.
So we hope to continue to share some of our travels, hints and tips on campervanning for a while yet and inspire some of you, perhaps of a similar age ;-), to have a go at something new too. Bye for now Garry and Caroline.

Campsite Tour - Lickpenny near Matlock. Now a Caravan & Motorhome Club Site!
Following our less than ideal start to our Derbyshire trip, we decided to stay on the road and travelled over to the Lickpenny site near Matlock. At the time we stayed at Lickpenny the site had just been taken over by the Caravan & Motorhome Club. All of the pitches are hardstanding and many are surrounded by hedges which adds to the privacy you can enjoy all around the site. The site is well laid out and major refurbishment and maintenance works are underway which will further improve your stay. In this video we show you around the site so you can see how the layout works.

Hi. Quick question. On your entrance video it shows a low bridge sign (2.9mtrs). Do you need to go under this bridge to access the site? I ask as my Moho is above this height. Enjoy your site videos, full of useful detail and more than enough detail to give me as a new Moho owner great ideas of sites I want to visit.👍
Hi. Coming from the direction we arrived at you do not go under the bridge. As it is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site they provide good directions on their website for larger vehicles. So always worth a check. Glad you find the videos helpful, we love the freedom the van gives us to explore the country and like to share our experiences with our viewers. Enjoy your travels.👍😀

North Norfolk super place to visit. Nice walks all along that north coast. We did a few trips to Kelling heath near holt. Just back from a south Devon tour. Couldn’t get into the Salcombe Overbeck’s garden forgot to check they don’t take dogs…another time :)

North Norfolk is a great area isn’t it. Not got past Cromer in the East and north of Southwold in Suffolk. Would like to try the Broads area. We used to stay at the mega site of kelling heath near Holt which was a little larger than yours! Thanks for the vlog.

Went to the Haynes museum a couple of months ago when we stayed in sparkford and the cafe when we stayed in the old oaks nice place wells we stayed at wells touring park

Thanks for the vlog. Camped around that area several years ago near St Mawes. Top spot in my opinion. It was when they had the tall ships race out of Falmouth. Think it was the 2014 version!

Spurn Point was actually much more interesting years ago before it became trendy and a new "centre" was introduced. Back in the day the Point was occupied by a close-knit group of households that sustained the lifeboat and lighthouse and it was a truly wild, isolated and largely unvisited place...However, go back centuries and it was not a point, but an true island that came to be inhabited by a lone hermit called Peter, who later acquired the title `Peter At Sea'.

I can still remember cycling from Grimsby to Spurn Point via the old Paddle Steamers in 1967 when I was 10 year olds with my older brother and sister an younger brother and sister. Grimsby to New Holland then over on the Paddle Steamer to Hull, then onward to Spurn Point. We camped in a farmers field mid way between Spurn Point and the first village on the way back, then set off for Hull and the return Ferry Ride to New Holland and the final cycle ride back to Grimsby.
