Thanks for the video but as someone who lives in Croatia (since 3yrs) I have to say that you basically just mentioned the most known and most visited cities we have. Its like the cities which you would find in a air plane travel journal, like the basic stuff everybody knows and which are used for travel journals, movies etc... Nevertheless, cool vid and you got yourself a thumbs up
Super
You have no idea how much I appreciate this video!! I will be visiting but not living. I will be mindful of the culture. This happened to Venice, Italy! ❤
I appreciate the support and hope you have a great time visiting :)
Hi! Is there any chance, that there is bus pass or something? I mean I need to buy ticket everytime I want to goes somewhere with bus?
When you hop on for the first time, the bus will issue you a card that can be reloaded for future trips :)
My mother, aunt, grandmother, sister, and I are all headed to Nice this coming August and we all found your video incredibly insightful. We will definitely be following a lot of your tips mentioned. Sending love from Texas! ❤️
I hope you have a wonderful visit! Always great seeing Texas folks in the comments (I was born in Dallas). Much love :)
Here 22 years and love it with all my heart. The greatest love affair of my life.
Love to hear that
Hi…very informative video. I was wonder what is there to do on Sundays in Nice?
I'd say it's a great day for walking (maybe on the Coastal Path), relaxing on the beach, and taking some day trips. There are also some great restaurants open on Sundays. I always just used Sunday as a lounge day :)
I lived in SA for over 20 years I love CT a stunningly beautiful place. Yet one reason for the poverty is the present government’s policies that punish the people. Go to Joburg it was a thriving city filled with prosperous businesses today it is a crime ridden drug and gang infested swallow. It is sad that one of the shiny lights of a country has become a slum of decadence and crime while the politicians get wealthy.
I'm 30 years old living in Cape Town all my life. Regarding safety - There are areas in Cape Town that are safe, mainly tourist areas such as Clifton (Where you are in this video). There are also areas in Cape Town that should be considered the most dangerous and unsafe spaces in the world. In my opinion, what Western Media says about our City and Country is not false, but its not the whole truth either. It comes down to money, if you have enough money then Cape Town is a comfortable and safe place for anyone and their family. From a locals perspective, it would be very weird for me to leave my house without looking over my shoulder. Myself and most of my friends have all seen a gun, been mugged, been robbed or been put in a life-threatening situation, some have died from violence during these situations. Cape Town is the only place in South Africa that does a great job of keeping tourists in a safe bubble completely separated from the reality of the locals. (Not Clifton or Camps Bay locals, the other 99.99% of locals.) Having said all the above, Cape Towns natural beauty and the energy locals create in this city is incredible, I will never call anything else home. There are plenty of reasons why the middle and lower class stay and love our city. If you come to Cape Town again - I challenge you to spend 24 hours not spending any money. (buy food to cook before the 24 hours), then the true humbled power this city has will take over.
Appreciate you sharing this! And I agree, going no spend for 24 hours is certainly possible and I found it to be enjoyable :)
very useful, thank you!
Glad it was useful :)
Great video, but i find it funny how at the start when he explains how to actually pronounce it, he still miss pronounces it a little
Hahah did I really? Which part should I work on?
@@camdendavid LjubLJana, the second LJ part sounds a bit off
Me and my family are staying in saint-Laurent-du-var next week do you think this is still excessible to old town and Eze ?
You'll need to utilize public transportation or have a car but you're certainly within reach of both. Hope you have a great time :)
Planning for September- would it be rainy in September too?
You should be okay in September 😃
There is no Grain Kitchen and Bagel Bake brick lane on the map... where are they?
Hmmm, they're showing up on my end. Here's Grain Kitchen: maps.app.goo.gl/ESAo83ky28sco4dU8 and this will take you to Beigel Bake: maps.app.goo.gl/tfhyEnhETG5ttjft9 Hope that helps :)

Thanks for the tips

Thanks a lot for these videos! I love them and give us a different point of view.
Glad you enjoyed!
Love this video! Super helpful but most importantly, genuine and accurate. Thank you!
Much appreciated!
Point 11 - the president of Hungary supports russia. Spend your money elsewhere
This is probably one of the best travel videos I've ever watched. Great job Sir!
Much appreciated
We just got back from Rome, for the family of four, train is not a wise move, and you want whole family to drag luggage , after reaching Rome into their hotels ?.
Would agree it’s probably not the right call for a family of 4. Taxi would likely end up being cheaper and much more convenient. Hope you had a great trip 😃
Brilliant video. Thanks for the tips.
You got it!
Oh god, you butchered every single Italian and French pronunciation besides Nice and Monaco. Also, I must disagree with you on the “skippable” towns. Monaco, sure if you don't have a large budget it's skippable. Considering Cannes, it's definitely less exciting than Nice. But and that's a big BUT, it is its own town and if you give it some time to explore past the touristic corridor it actually has great charm. Lastly, Menton is amazing. Definitely a must-see! Specifically the lemon trees and one of the most interesting market halls full of local delicacies along the Côte d’Azur. I’ve lived in the south of France for 4 years now and that would be my standpoint on these places. Especially, if you're visiting off-season.
Terrible on the pronunciations - sorry about that. And I appreciate you sharing a different perspective :)
You Nailed Nice completely. Nice is always a great idea. We try to do Nice yearly driving down from the UK.
Much appreciated. Glad to hear you get there often :)
My wife and I have traveled to 30 countries in 2 years all safe.. 5 hours in barcelona we were robbed. The police were angry with us because we didn't speak Catalonian!! Do yourself a big flavor. Stay away from spain it's a den of thieves.
So sorry to hear you had that experience... but I hope you'll give Spain another chance. Every country has a few bad apples. I think choosing not to travel there would be a mistake for most folks. Such a beautiful culture with wonderful people
Don't go unless you want to get mugged
Would not agree with this
Please turists stay home 🙃😔
Ohhh the wagging head!
I like to call it bobblehead syndrome
@@camdendavid lol... but vary distracting
@@aukscunas haha sorry about that
Totally informative and awesome! Loved the train side info!
Glad to hear it!
Probably because you lived in Chicago but hey here in Texas is sweeeeet and yes I have traveled the world and we are TexMex. If I was a US President or the head of the US homeland security I would contract you to spread that propaganda amongst all millions of people that want to come into our beautiful US of A. Illegally 😅
Hahah I don't think it was because of Chicago. I was actually born in Dallas and lived there a while. Hope all is well!
This is a really helpful video full of useful tips - thank you! I’m considering moving to Nice and your suggestions are inline with everything I’ve researched so far. Nice job… maybe just a little work needed with the pronunciations 😊
LOTS of work needed on the pronunciations haha. Thanks for watching :)
You’re saying Ljubljana wrong mate
Ohhh. How so?
Does the train from Edinburgh to London provide a beautiful scenery, our is it cut straight through the cities?
I found it to be pretty scenic :)
You didn't mention the metro (subway) which is cheap, frequent, fast, clean and easy to navigate. It will get you to most places in the city and out to the train stations without Bolt or Uber.
So true
Leave your tips in cash and you will need cash for public toliets
Ohh dude, u missed st tropez?????😩 Big mistake! Huuuuge☝🏻 (By ferry)
Next time!
I live just outside Bruges, but personally I prefer Ghent and Leuven. As for chocolate, you should try Neuhaus. Jean Neuhaus opened a pharmacy in the Queen's Gallery (Royal Gallery) in Brussels in 1857, but he covered his medicines in a thin layer of chocolate. In 1912 his grandson invented the first real belgian chocolate as we know them today. The shop in the Queen's Gallery still exists and it's only meters away from Pierre Marcolini.
Thanks for this :)
Too bad. We are six people. could not fit into that apartment.
Great video! Informative and concise. Apparently that cross your fingers thing is a rude gesture in Vietnam. Who knew?
Glad you liked it! Hahah I'll have some Vietnam content coming soon
Wow, makes me want to GO!!
Hope you get to soon :)
In gent they can’t say the letter G and pronounce it as H. Gent= “hent” Goed= “hoed” what also means hat in Dutch. There more words with G but I don’t want to get my dictionary in this. How do I know this? I visited it once and I live in Belgium.
Thanks for this great video, really helps a lot of people who were nervous about going, but not after they saw this.
I hope you're right :)
Lisboa is overcrowded with tourists, the locals mostly don’t feel that much at home anymore. I would like to hear Portuguese on the streets instead of English :(
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I really like these videos. One comment about Turkish cuisine is that it’s not super vegan friendly. unfortunately!
You'd be surprised by the variety of vegan options in Tr. Foreigners think that we only eat kebab. On the contrary, this land is very rich of vegetables, and we have plenty of delicious vegetable dishes.
Glad to hear you enjoy this format. I'd agree that there's a big emphasis on fish/meat but I have noticed quite a few vegan places opening around the city :)
I stay in Chiado. Best place ever. Always stay there.
Bolt has no regular background checking. Better Uber
Is that true? I saw they have a similar verification process for drivers
Perfect,tyvm
Welcome :)
your observation is spot on mate. Cheers.
Cheers
Got friends there and previous friends also Madona she loved it too..😮
We as a Istanbul lover family superb tips Less noisy background music would be in my opinion smoother its just my opinion And hey don’t tell the Anatolian side ssssssst keep it quiet We just booked for three weeks
Hope you have a great trip! And yeah, the music was wayyyy too loud. My mistake. I'll have new videos on Istanbul coming over the next couple of weeks for you :)
@@camdendavid the taxi s are a drama in Istanbul. Never again after a couple of really bad experiences with my family. I rent a car at the airport when we land and deliver it back when we go home. I hope Marti Tag will solve the taxi problem. Thank u for ure good tips And we always consider save buildings to stay in with the expectation of a big earthquake in Istanbul. Stay safe
My heart feels so good to hear about the treatment of the animals! ❤
Such a special part of the culture 😊
