Hurt right shoulder likely from removing and installing window blinds at home several months ago. Thought it was pinched nerve that will eventually go away, still have full range of motion on my right shoulder but noticed right shoulder bone notch about 1/2 inch higher than left. Some shooting pain with raising right arm to a cross position or T position, some pain when raisng arm to overhead position. dumb bell motion without pain. RIGHT HAND CAN REACH LEFT SHOULDER WITH ANIUT 2/10 PAIN. Overall right arm strength at or slightly less than 50% of my normal. Can you give advice how to treat it myself?

Now ,by doing these exercises is my shoulder going to pop back in place, or do I have to get it popped back in place before I start my exercises. This has been hurting & getting worse everyday. It's been like this for about 4 months now, I probably should have went to see a doctor by now but I'm stubborn, just thought maybe I strained or pulled a muscle, but now I know for sure it is a partial dislocation . It's really starting to become annoying & interrupt my daily activities. Very painful. I appreciate your time. Thank You

Hi, I highly recommend to go in immediately and receive the best possible care you can and not continue with this issue. The path is to start with a MD for diagnosis and then a referral for outpatient PT for rehab. Best to wishes to you let me know if any other questions! 🙌

Ive learned to simply sit upright 90 degrees allowing the affected dislocated shoulder to rest and come into place. Its about the sense of relaxation and allowing the nerve enough sensibility to allow the muscle to come back into place. I believe shoulder reductions should be left to sheer gravity, a threshold for pain and tension and its own weight. NO PAIN...

Hi, I would recommend a moderate amount of pressure. More specifically to maintain pressure that will allow you to keep pain less than 5/10 throughout the exercise program if possible. I randomly stumbled on this and thought I'd see, even though it doesn't usually hurt anymore, but gets a twinge with certain movements, and this test definitely triggered it. Hi. It depends. If your pain with exercise is above a 5/10 even with restricted range of motion then it’s possible you may have damaged a tendon and you will want to rest until you can perform the exercises with less than 5/10 pain. Be sure to let me know if any other questions. Best wishes to you! 🙌

when you say dont do things that recreate the pain---all these exercises create the familiar pain. Do them anyway?

Yes at first one will usually have pain with the majority of the movements. The goal is to only move as far as you can while keeping pain less than a 5/10 if possible. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. 🙌
