We lost a couple jars of blackberry jam to cheap, ill-fitting Yes, I Can lids and rings. Never again.

The Arntz Alaska Life. Thanks for the video filming on this. Finally got to view filleting with some of these videos taken by other people and organizations. Thanks for posting. As I view these videos, it shows me where I can make improvements in including more details into teaching others of the art of using an ulu to fillet a salmon. Growing up using an ulu since I was little and using it to fillet salmon for years for my large family made me use the ulu with skill.

I used yes you can lids and rings. Had trouble with wide mouth bands not fitting my ball jars, and had two lids buckle in water bath for pickled beans. They seem pretty thin. Also purchased in Alaska

I had the small 1/2 cup jelly jars, yes I can , brand, fail on me. The lids popped off in the water bath during my jelly canning process, allowing water to come in. I am wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with the larger 1/2 pint ones because I want to can some salmon in the pressure cooker and the, yes I can, it’s all I can find in Alaska.

I haven't seen the Yes I Can lids; I'm in western Washington. My local ACE Hardware gets a shipment of Jars with lids and rings every Tuesday but if you aren't there the second they open, they're gone! I ordered some from Amazon - hope they're not the same ones you got! - but they haven't been delivered yet.

I'm curious to know if you get the real lids or fake ones from China. Let me know!

In case I wasn't clear, I am standing outside. I left the building to allow another patron to enter. He was denied entry, since they had over 3 costumers inside at once.
