Still after 8 years, one of my favorite RC engine builds on UA-cam. I love four stroke RC boats
Just found your channel and subscribed. Nice work. Nice engine
I dont know that PDFs can be attached here. I just looked at the Home Model engine page and it is working.
How do you seal the whater jacket?
RTV silicone
if you wanna sell that nice engine I am interested
$450 plus $30 shipping if you are in the lower 48 USA states. I only sell on ebay.
kakuda well done loko man
Imagine if this was a v8 😳
Where is the water pump sourced from?
i made the pump from parts from a 50cc honda engine. ebay has them cheap.
In one of your other videos, (homemade water cooled 69cc twin) you use what looks like a commercial, belt driven, water pump? Care to share where it’s from?
the pumps are made by me. the triple has a centrifugal pump from a Jerry Howell design. the twin has an internal gear pump made from a 50cc honda engine oil pump available on ebay..
@@abcdefghi6046 awesome thanks!
Beautiful! The heads are commercially available units? Running on nitromethane?
yes they are from an OS engine. yes, its on glow fuel.
Don't you wish we could get model engines to tick over like that, thanks for posting.
I do and I've tried but physics and geometry dont let it happen.
Super sir
Only coolant floowing into of of the three pipes.?
$3000
would be awesome on a scooter :D
Sounds terrific !
Now you need a transmission and a go cart lol
Keren mantap
How much power this can produce ?
why would anyone ever want to mess with that burble? They sound best when they're basically right off the showroom floor.
can you contact me? 3108787018 how did i construct jacket?
I machined the outside of the cylinder and then made a thin-walled hollow tube with a top and bottom. the tube i.d. is a shrink fit onto the machined cylinder. loctite seals it. two holes for water fittings were added before it was installed. everything is for sale. are you interested?
can you send me a wire diagram to set up a test stand to run this exact motor I don't know what I need to run the motor or how to wire it thanks vjkimbrough@hotmail.com
Search googl for a 1934 for wiring diagram. A 12v batter is fine for the starter but you will need a resistor to drop the voltage to 6V. The starter solenoid can be an inexpensive three- terminal one. Wiring a start button and on- off switch is just a. Simple set up.
This sounds amazing great job getting it to run!
beautiful. i have a 239 flathead v8 and i got some sort of issue with a vacuum leak i think. whenever i put any throttle i hear a bunch of air being sucked and its not revving properly. any ideas on how to fix that? seems to be getting wayy too much air, ive rebuilt the carbs twice over and theyre good
I would pull the intake manifold off and check the flatness and gasket seal. The gasket should not be installed with any sealant otherwise you're sure to have a leak. It could also be a cracked manifold or a leak at the vacuum line fitting connection for distributor advance. John
Check the back of carb between the cast iron base and the main body between the two screws that hold those parts together. they get over tightened and can warp the main body and allow a major vacuums leak.

Hi, it's me again. I was very curious how you made the water jacket? I have 3 of the O.S. marine 4 strokes, but they are so rare that I don't want to use them. I'd much rather convert a standard 4 stroke to water cooling. I see your water jacket design is very similar to production marine engines. It appears you machined the crankcase and head fins to be round on the lathe, but thats as much as I can tell. I'd really appreciate it if you could elaborate on the design of the water jacket. I also enjoy machining and tinkering with model engines. Thanks! (Excellent channel by the way)
@@timjs1018 Thanks. Yes the water jacket is a hollow chamber that i shrunk-fit to the machined casting. loctite 609 sealed it. the fittings are held in with JBWeld. the ignition set up is via Jerry Howell ent. Everything is for sale...
@@abcdefghi6046 Is there no inner wall to the chamber? The crankcase itself is in contact with the water? -Tim
@@timjs1018 Yes. I machined the head also so that it matched the diameter of the jacket.
@@timjs1018 Yes you're correct. also i machined to head so it matched the diameter of the water jacket.
please try again i changed the setting for comments. i think.
Hi, is there any way I can contact you (email)? I'm particularly interested in one of your more recent videos, with the water cooled O.S. 120. The comments on that video are disabled.. I just had some technical questions, if you wouldn't mind helping out another like-minded individual. Thanks!
Please try again to comment on the OS FS 120 video. I believe comments are now enabled.
How nice! #thumbsup
Imagine fitting that to a moped that would be really cool lol
check out 2stroke stuffing he fitted a 4cyl 3,5cc engine to a moped -broke the crankshaft - then switched it for a 2stroke 3.5cc which worked (for a short time)
@@malakiblunt yeah I saw that, it broke because the crankshaft isn't supported in the middle
many thousands
How much is a engine like this?
How would you made this
Would you sell this masterpiece??? If you would let me know. This would fit right in to my collection. I love amazing sounding motors.
Would u be interested in selling it???
sure. it took many may hours to build. $2000.00 US plus shipping. i would list it on ebay.
Where did u get all the parts
Also if u would sell it how much I’m interested in it.
i wanna see this an application to an RC car or anything this is a sweet looking engine
Why is this comment section so toxic wtf
Very nice. It would be interesting if this was mounted on some rc car/truck like some other projects i’ve been watching lately
no
It was an idea or suggestion, I’m not asking.
O.S. heads?
Yes
@@abcdefghi6046 Very nice craftsmanship. Good job.
Very nice engine .Where have you bought the cooling radiator?
thank you. i bought it on amazon. there are many types. the filler neck and cap were made by me. the cap is aluminum and the neck is brass. its held in-place by JB Weld epoxy.
@@abcdefghi6046 Thank you for your quick answer.
I think it's just a pc water cooling radiator.
This is not engine, this is a masterpiece 👍
Not really. It largely consumer engine parts. cylinder heads are just 4 stroke RC engine components Still cool though.
thank you.
@@zuestoots5176 bruh I bet u could never do that this thing is dope as fuck
@@zuestoots5176 where's the video of your custom one off everything made at home engine if this is so unimpressive and off the shelf parts 🤔
Nice!
Sounds terrible why didnt you put silencers on it.
I'm agree, better if installing exhaust muffler on in.
it sounds cool
Sounds fine, its a 3 cylinder, Odd cylinder count engines always sound a little off
Sounds like you're jealous to me because you wouldn't have a clue how to make one yourself! The engine is a work of art, just accept it.
Sounds awesome wut r u talkin’ about
When that throttle went out of control 😂
Beautiful!
Thanks. Everything is for sale.
God, I love that boat
Forgot to mention: Love the scale speed too.
This boat is wonderful
