The Staten Island Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony, bringing Integrated Opioid Treatment Program Services to patients in the community with substance use disorder.
The additional 1,400 square feet of space adds a new treatment offering - medication-assisted treatment (methadone, buprenorphine, or naltrexone) - to help manage patients' withdrawal symptoms. The additional space was made possible with $1M in Opioid Settlement Funds, allocated by the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports.
The Staten Island program will continue to provide individual and group counseling, peer recovery, and a wide range of other services on an outpatient basis.
