So heartbreaking that these beautiful creatures will never know the feeling of grass or dirt under their feet or see true sunlight or breathe fresh outdoor air as a chicken is meant to. Just metal, bars, and a ‘scratch pad.’ Prisoners in cages solely to be used for commerce. The fact that it’s a clean facility doesn’t change the reality of their confined existence that is void of any natural enrichment. Cleanliness and efficiency do not negate cruelty. I find this sickening and heartbreaking.

I personally love my local eggs.
Supply management.. buy your permission to produce food from them today.. it’s illegal to produce certain foods in Canada without buying said permission.. thus allowing them to keep food prices high and profit margins stable.
