Would that plant be good growing in intermediate conditions? I want to get a Hamata hybrid and see the Hamata traits.

The foothills of the tepuis where the lowland helis is growing is at an elevation of 900-1200m. A nephentes growing at that altitude they would be called intermediate. Great video! I will make a video about my take on growing heliamphora as soon as the garden season is over.😀👍

Thanks for this video! I'm from south-western Australia and i think it's a shame most people living here aren't aware that Australia basically hit the biodiversity lottery in a lot of ways due to its isolation. I wish that more people cared about the carnivorous plants, but i think their abundance is probably why they often get overlooked here.

Hey John, cool video! When you show parameters, like temperature, it would be nice to use celsius as well, for the european growers. So everyone around the world can enjoy your videos. Thanks for your works!

hi! i have a drosera graomogolensis that is struggling to start. i grow it indoors under about 25,000 lux of rgb growlight for about 15 hours a day. at the moment the temperature in the house fluctuates between 26° and 28° degrees celsius and humidity is between 55 and 60%. the plant is in peat and perlite 50/50. substrate always moist. the plant does not produce glue and the trichomes dry out. the leaves themselves tend to blacken slightly. in your opinion is the problem the temperature in the house too high? or could there be something else? thank you very much.

What you've said is true when it comes to differentiating the two and should be very helpful to anyone buying sarracenia. What is very difficult about identifying sarracenia in cultivation, is that all sarracenia species can crossbreed to create endless hybrids so in some cases we can never truly know what we've bought, only what it is most similar to. Especially with seed grown plants. Love the videos though, keep putting them out.

Well man i say, the plant becomes worth more money as it matures. 1. When sellers sell there stash they sell in bulk price lowers. If they sold individual theyd get more profit. 2. You get to enjoy the plant growing, they are lifelong plants. So if you lose so money who really cares :) 3. I dont believe its in the tissue culture cultivators best interest to mass produce and destroy the market with mass influx of plants into the market. Its much smarter for them to stay st the pace they are going and keep profits high. 4. The longer i grow these plants the more i realize they really arent that hard to grow and if youre patient with them they will acclimate to anything. Even an adult you can cut it up and restart with propagations. So adults are really valuable and worth a lot of money. 5. Theres always the chance thst the market will continue to skyrocket as well :) 6. Im with you in a lot of senses though i think OG grexs will end up being worth the most. Ill just pay whatver the market is because i love the plant. I dont go over a hundred dollars but if i was rich maaaaaaaan i would. I saw a spiritis sancti pup verigsted go for 4k still worth a lot of money. If i take a nepenthes i bought for 100$ if i get 5 good basal shoots rooted over the course of 3 years. I can still sell those basal shoots for around 60-80$ a pop if the market remains the same :). And make some money back Really wverybidy in the community should be wrapping their heads sround how to raise the prices of these plants even more :) mwuahaha everybodu needs some cheddar in return for there addictive money fueled carnivore plant habits
