Thank you so much TJ Klune! I first learned about asexuality in your book, and I'm so grateful for it, it explains so much about me I hadn't known before <3
If you read the Second Book, you'll find out what the Cresfem and the huge Labyrinths on the Labyrinthine Planets are for. The Machine God has a plan for Mankind and its much worse than ANYTHING in the Matrix. [Some think Matrix, stole the idea for the Matrix from Hyperion.]
I've read a lot of Science Fiction, up until the early teens of this century, the top books recommended by Locus Magazine. Of these hundreds of books, the Hyperion Cantos, is the best science-fiction, I've EVER read. Dan Simmons won almost every award in this genre, for these books. My literary world was/is divided by before Hyperion, and after.
Ooh, Murderbot! I'm sold - my roomie hasn't stopped telling me about this series! It's their new favorite, and I would love to be able to talk with them about it. :)
Monopoly pub crawl round London!!! oooooo yes. Rimmer.... youre a smeg head.... Tod Hunter: But Rimmer... you ARE a smeg head! I honestly dont know the book or tv show off by heart... really... honest...
I really appreciate you guys captioning these videos. 🙌 I am not personally HoH, but I love when video creators consider these things, (and it can also help be sure you heard people correctly. 🙂) Also, though, today I couldn't find my ear buds and it is too early in my house for sound, so I just watched the captions. 👌 (I did notice the graphic says Chapter 17 for discussion 1's stopping point and the CC said Chapter 25 FYI.)
Yeah we goofed initially and had chapter 25 as the stopping point because the audiobook chapters were misnumbered. Fixed it in the video but not the captions. Thanks for pointing that out! I will fix shortly.
I really, really loved Piranesi and I can't wait to watch the discussion! I missed being there live, but there were so many second half changes/spoilers, I am glad I waited until I finished it to tune in. 🙂 This unusual book is definitely going down in memory for me. 😊
Oh my goodness, you guys... Did you do that on purpose?! Our twost chances books for the first month of 2022, and the video is 2:22 long? 😃 (Reminds me that we are also having a twost party, and I can't wait!!)
I really enjoyed this! It feels like watching a group of friends I’ve known for ages, but you’re on the other side of the planet to me… do you fancy a group trip to England? 😁
I have a book suggestion if I may, "Wait Until Twilight" by Sang Pak. Written by a Korean American raised in the south. There's no vampires or werewolves, but the book does highlight some other types of monsters.
Yay, I found the audiobook on my library’s digital download! (Student who doesn’t have much money to buy new books... plus England is in lockdown so I can’t go to the library or bookshop...) can’t wait to listen!
I’m from England and 7:30/8:30 p.m. Central/Eastern (is it that way round?) is 1:30 a.m. for me!... if I leave a comment under the live video (when it’s been streamed and is no longer live) would anyone be willing to “discuss” the book there? I’d like to join in but I don’t think I’d be much fun to be around the next morning if I stay up! 😆☺️😁

I really wish there were a link to the referenced article. I listened on Spotify and came here, but haven't found it yet.

I refuse to believe Benny is almost 1. The year has flown by.

Bradley Cooper is shopping a movie treatment of Hyperion.

It’s definitely one of those that stays with you. And the more I just reflect on it, the better it gets. I definitely want to read more! -Adam

My husband, who has no context for any of this, watched with me and he also was laughing through it and was in tears by the end.
That makes me so happy.

Agreed, all the books are odd, but I think they'll be a good read!
That's sooo cool!!! 😯 Both? Both is good? 😄 #AllTheBooks
Very interesting! Reminds me of the ghostwriter books I read as a kid.
