We had a successful rescue at our office and Dr. Mary was the victim, Jamesine performed the rescue! Jamesine's American Red Cross training came through as she knew exactly what to do. We are very proud of her and grateful she acted on her training. American Red Cross are the purveyors of hope.
how much did u spend in water=???
Did the sand not all eventually makes it way to the bottom of the pond?
Did you work with any plans?
Tremendous job!
Chris how well did sand stay on slopes on main swimming area and what’s is the slope of ya don’t mind me asking
Any mosquito issues?
Tip of the cap sir! And thats for the captions explaining the process. After putting the pump below water level, how many yrs use were u getting before it would burn out?
What state is this?
Real nice job! Thanx for sharing.
Doing that pool you was too busy to notice.......the shed sunk
Ok cool
How come you guys use liners while other guys just pack the soil.? Is one a better option than the other?
Joseph Battaglia that depends on what you want a pond for and what kind,of soil you have, how deep, how big
Thanks Gioware, our family and friends enjoy using it.
This was awesome! great idea on moving water too!
At least, the pond that I really like... Thank you.
Paul Ispaul Thanks Paul
Does not look bad but will not last long
MrRideutah funny, it's still there!
Post a vid I bet it's a swamp
Haha nope still here we were just having fun on the ice today ! Looks great
Maybe if you did it 801CARDLINE . Some people actually know what they are doing
Ain't no fish goin in there goober, it's full of sand and their swimming and playing volleyball in it for goodness sake..! Its not my thing but Ooh well..!!!
Eight years, eight winters, works well as a skating rink and the pond is still there, no leaks or other issues. Just saying !!
how do you clean it?
What state are you in,I am in MN,thinking of building a natural pond, not big as yours though, that's an amazing place you have.

Awesome ponds.. Just curious, I think you said the sides of the upper pond were too sloped so you redid the walls with concrete blocks.. Was that more of an aesthetics choice or were you worried about the walls caving in? I'm building a 25 x 30 x 3.5 ft pond and am wondering what slope to use for the walls
Brian Z The walls were sloped so much it would make retaining plants difficult not to mention getting in and out of the pond for maintenance.
To be honest I am not sure, the excavation was only part of a bigger project on the property. The liner cost $ 1900.00 (50' X 150'), the well around $ 1500.00, pump and plumbing around $ 1000.00, not including the gazebo I would guess around $ 6000.00 total. I did all but the excavation myself, the stones were from my property, I had the sand trucked in from a near by gravel pit.
how much did it cost to build this pond?
when u rich af,and how about an update?
very nice. you put alot of effort and thought into the health of the water system
The best time to evaluate a pond is 10 or more years after they are built to see how they will last. Most ponds will look fine for a couple years before they go bad. Why 10 years? That is the usual time people will deal with an issue before they call us. What usually happens? Cheap plastic liners crack and leak ( usually about 15 years later) Pond starts choking out with weeds about 10 years after building.
Scott we have very sandy/small stones soil, plus clay lining has a tendency to get mucky overtime. The liner with sand over it is much better for swimmers.
We seal ponds and lakes with clay every day. They remain clear for many decades. It can be done.

looks fantastic, I'm curious though. Why did you use a liner for the big pond and not just pack with clay earth? here where I'm from our ponds are just packed with clay. seems costly for that much pvc liner
why is you water extremely blue? even when it came out of the upper pool pipe it was very blue?
It has been died to help reduce alge build up. Also added to the water is beneficial bacterial to fight alge growth and a bubbler keeps water from the bottom moving up the water column. Alge build up is a continuous battle for outdoor ponds.
Chris Chrysler ah makes sense, i want this in my garden
+Chris Chrysler what is this dye called?? ( new to all this)
I like it
Song is amazing! Song name pls?
I'd LOVE to have something just like this built on a much smaller scale to fit my backyard for my dogs to be able to swim! One question I have is how do you keep the sand in place along the sides of the pond, especially at an angle? Thank you for your video!
how much did that cost if you don't mind my asking? also are you stocking it with fish?
Could you give an update video how the pond looks today :)? It doesn't have to be long, thnx!
Google India jones snake pit
well done !
SOLID bRO
The most amazing idea EVER! I wonder how this would work out in Florida? I'm in the TB area and feel that we might get an overabundance of algae and moss. All the local retention ponds around here turn into swamps within a few years. I'd probably have to manually keep the biology in check.
In Florida? Just dig 3 feet and you've got instant pond.
I wouldnt advise building a perfect habitat for all the snakes, and other animals this thing would attract
Mr.Pond James Pond 007
He obviously didn't do any research before going all Gung Ho putting a hole in the ground. This was one Balls up after another. And it pays to line your dirt hole with old carpet, or if you have the money Geo Fabric. That things probably already leaking. LMAO Classic case of to much money and not enough brains.
what a piece of s*** thing to say .I bet you are really doozy, get the fuc outta here you piece of s*** . the Pond turned out beautiful you got nothing to say but something rude ,wtf. he shared an experience good bad or indifferent..
+Sphinx Hutc Calm the fuck down sweet heart. dont get your nose all out of joint. i re watched the video and laughed my way through three quarters of it. this guy really made a lot of basic mistakes that will dramatically shorten the life of the pond. But hey who gives a shit he will just have to do it again wont he. Personally id be embarrassed to put my mistakes out there for all to see. But hey no disrespect meant to anyone i just call it how it is if you dont like it i really dont give a shit. Suck it, Im an arsehole.
Ram2 is right lol, and plus these ponds all end up turning into real ponds, I wouldnt advise puting all those rocks at the end that is a perfect habitat for snakes too lol
Ram2, he literally said everything was fine after 8 years and no problems.
Ha nope it’s still up and good to this day man, we were just running across the ice enjoying our time with the fam ☺️ sorry to let you down ;)
I love the private beach theme........ How long did the water take to clear up ? ?
Amazing how much work and effort it takes to realistically "fake" nature
I love you guys. I have been following this build for a few years I think and I love that you decided to use plants now for natural filtering. but there are nowhere near enough that I can see there. Also, I don't think it was UBER necessary to color the water. I mean, I am pretty sure it was colored, from the looks of it spilling out one of the pipes. I get it, you don't want a cloudy-brown pond of sediment. Idk It would have been good w/o that too.
MLG POND DUDE!! ▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▓▓ ▒▓ ▓ ▒▒▒▒▒▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▒▒▓▓ ▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▓▓ ▒▓ This is the mlg pond trophie :)
Beautiful pond!! Almost exactly what I'd like to have if/when we can build a swimming pond. Great work!
You're my hero! This is the coolest pond I've seen so far. I love the plants on top. I'm going to copy a lot of your ideas
Now that's what I call a private beach! Thanks for sharing, thumbs up!
