@@augustadventuressTo get your material all you need is to connect the drive to another system or to pay for data recovery, which is a lot cheaper than what you paid. So given that I cant imagine anyone asking 1600 RON! to repair a laptop. If you need to change a part you need to ask the cost of that part, plus the work. A quick search would tell you how much that part is, if that is the problem when shuts off all or what happened and having an idea already always get a second opinion. Call a second repair shop and most probably save more than half of what you paid.

@ we actually called a few different repair shops and got quoted higher or the same as what we paid, it was a MacBook, not sure if that makes it more expensive, we don’t know a lot about laptops honestly

@ we didn’t have winter tyres that’s our fault But the Bulgarian car tool charged us 800 leva which is 400 euros to drive us 10 km
