    It very petty and ridiculous to be concerned about hair one way or another. You need therapy about hair. REALLY I wish my life was so simple that hair was my issue. Grow up

    I understand I love wigs because you can change your style up and I don’t wanna mess my hair up by dyeing it. I also love how you can switch it up but I also adore my natural Afro as well.

    It's funny how people say wigs show lack of confidence But they go on and do braids ....just leave everything thats not yours and deal with natural hair...leave braids , weaves , relaxers

    • @rosemary_and_vines
      @rosemary_and_vines Місяць тому

      Thank you for your comment dear. My video is a reflection of my journey where I felt shame about my own hair. I would not leave the house without 'covering 'it with a wig, weave or head wrap. I hated my african features and the weaves and wigs made them look more 'acceptable'. and after a massive healing journey, I now embrace my natural hair, my afro in its form . I love braids too , they give my hair a break . Maybe one day I will completely go without braids or maybe I will wear a wig here and there. The video simply points out to sometimes we accept the beauty standard set out by others and ignore our own light. Lots of Love from Rosemary and vines.

    Im 67 years old with quite severe hair loss, i had a mesh put in yesterday at a cost of £600 sterling. It feels awful tight and painfull cant wait to get it out. Any tips on how to grow my own hsir back, it starting thinning in my twenties and now in my 60,s Dont like this weave.

    • @rosemary_and_vines
      @rosemary_and_vines Місяць тому

      I am sorry to hear that, hair loss can trigger us to feel down about ourselves. There are many reasons why our hair starts thinning and some of them are out of control. In my journey I have found any styles that restrict my scalp, harsh chemicals and other factors such as diet and stress can affect our hair. I normally start from the inside out : eliminate stress, eat foods that support and nourish my body and then give my hair some love through gentle care. Best wishes on your hair journey

    How about do what makes u happy u feel like wearing wigs weaves it's fine l enjoy having different styles all tbe time with wig with no wig but winter time l wear wigs and weaves because my hair breaks and get damage so l use protective styles. No one judges white women some wear wigs weaves extentions and Jewish women wear wigs too no ones days anythibg but it's always about black women this this that that. My husband is white and has never ever complained about my hair or weaves he enjoys it me with different styles all the time and he even buys me my wigs as gifts sometimes and he lives my Agro during summer or twists no one has ever asked me why l wear wigs as a matter of fact most it's say l wish l had yr Hair so l have different hairstyles. SoBlack Queens do what majes u happy. it's yr hair yr life Do wat majes u hapoy not what others tell u

    Ngl, I was initially against wearing wigs & weaves early in adulthood b/c i didn’t want to succumb to an unhealthy motive for wearing them after going natural. Black female beauty is always under such scrutiny because we stand out naturally in all the ways that women of other races naturally fit in- our hair textures, complexion, and sometimes, our natural endowments. It’s a fight to accept our natural selves. Wtbs, I want to see my hair at its full potential -long, strong, and nourished, so that’s why i’ve decided to wear wigs in the meantime. I don’t want to over manipulate my hair while I’m caring for it (with the hydration, oils, natural products) and giving it a much needed styling break.

    For a woman to approach someone and tell them that that aren't suppose to wear their hair a certain way because of the country or region is insane. A person can wear their hair anyway they want regardless of where they live or stay.

    I had dreadlocks for a year and a half. What a humbling experience. 😂 Combed them out this summer because I just didn't like them anymore. But my hair grew significantly!!!!! They helped my mind grow and my hair grow. 😊😂 I think that my afro has some length now I feel a little more secure. Even though it is type 4F hair 😂😂. If 4C is the tightest curse then I'm 2-3 letters past that. 😂 Anyone you're right about everything. It's all about loving your natural self.
