Launching the Boat (Building Florence 9)
Переглядів 983 роки тому
I launch my lockdown project, a plywood sailing / rowing boat, on December 31st 2020. I'm a software developer in real life, so this kind of hardware work is fun, novel and challenging for me! I paint the hull and procure a boat trailer. Also many things go wrong. Building Florence is a continuing series that casts me as the developer of a small plywood sailing boat on a tight budget, for use on Devon's rivers.
Deck, Seats and Paint (Building Florence 7)
Переглядів 934 роки тому
We finish Florence's interior, with carpentry for the fore deck and seats. We also paint it blue and red. This was a very hot week, so please forgive my exhaustion! Building Florence is a continuing series that casts me as the developer of a small plywood sailing boat on a tight budget, for use on Devon's rivers.
Finishing the Hull (Building Florence 6)

what's the compatible memory card to use? I have one and I can't transfer the photos
Should be an SD card, but maybe try a smaller capacity card as the larger capacities might not be supported by the camera.
Have you tried a lower capacity SD card? It supports up to 32GB SD and SDHC cards. If you have a larger capacity, more recent card, this may not work.
How can I get it's memory
Filtre settings, pleaseeeeee! ❤🇧🇷
#nofilter ! ❤️
Beautiful review
Thank you :)
Hello, great video thank you. I was wondering - what are the settings you used on these pictures of the landscapes you showed? Also, do you know if it’s possible to change the film grain setting in SCN into colour or is it just black and white?
I was wondering the same thing.
I think it was just on iA for those shots.
you're a hidden gem in this world
Ive just dusted down my copy plus an even older tz3. I have to sat the photos from the TZ7 stand up very well to my full frame canon on a 27in screen. I have a problem in i cant find the charger for it I thought the battery could be che=arged in camera , but maybe thats in my later TZ200.
Great vid man!, just bagged myself one
Lightning room fix everything jaja I have amazing picture with a model lumix fh1
You got me… i bought it
That's great! I would love to hear how you got on with it Samantha - pray it hasn't disappointed you :)
Hello, I cannot find any TZ7 camera near me, what do you think about TZ5 or TZ8 ? Which one of these are similar to TZ7? I I want to have a similar look, thanks
Hi, definitely consider the TZ5 - the lens and sensor are very good, although the zoom and wide angle don't impress as much as on the TZ7. Perhaps the TZ5 might even be more reliable! In my opinion the TZ8 is a more stripped down model with reduced built quality - I would avoid it.
This review ♥️ keep up the good content
Can u review the nikon coolpix s600
Hi! Thanks for the interest, but I'm in the middle of a complex house move at the moment so the videos are on pause. I'll add it to the list though!
This has been my go to fo 14 years & I use it as my pocket secret weapon which seconds my Sony A6000. I even use it underwater with a special Lumix case. It has been around the world bringing memories home for all too enjoy.
had mine since launch. Lens is amazing, the 12x zoom is better than the 16x and beyond. Also the low resolution gives very good images. The only thing it lacked was manual control, but spot metering, exp comp and AE lock fixed all that for me. I've now converted mine to IR shooting by removing the AA filter over the sensor (took 10 mins)and putting an IR filter on the front of it. I beat the crap out of mine over many years, never had an issue with the rear screen.
Funnily enough I’ve been thinking of taking my old tz7 out on holiday this year as I’m wanting to detatch myself from my mobile for a whike
It’s such a good camera for that. Take a spare battery though!
I just found mine stored in the shed and forgot how much I loved it. It’s back out and in use again. Very nice video.
They really are fabulous cameras! Enjoy it and share your photos!
You helped me a lot
I'm so glad! Thanks for commenting :)
Help 😭😭is there a big difference between the s60 and s70? I understand that the s70 wins in megapixels, but..
The S70 comes in the darker metallic grey colour, whereas the S60 I believe is only available in silver, which looks "cheaper" imho. I believe the S70 also has "better" video capture capabilities, although these are hardly brilliant.
Can I just say that I fell in love with you.
That’s very kind :)
Hello Nice tiny boat you have made. Have watched all the videos of the building. Have a tiny boat too. Not self made but self restored. It's a pioner 8 from Norway and made of PE-02. Have a nice time :-).
Thank you for watching it all the way through! No small task!
Hello Joe I like older Lumix compact cameras too. Have a TZ1, TZ3 and a TZ8. I also have some others. Greetings from lower Bavaria :-).
My left ear..
Thanks, that's very useful feedback. I'm still getting used to the Rode mono mic and learning how to balance it properly in Resolve.
Hi! Thanks a lot for the review, it got me highly interested! Lately I've been thinking about getting back to stop-motion animation, but I am on a tight budged, so I am not looking for the best quality out there. I honestly love the hue, quality, and the slight noise this specific camera provides. In your opinion, would this model do as a beginner's stop-motion camera?
I think that would be an excellent use case - I’m tempted to give it a try myself!
Thank you for this video, I got this camera, so far so good!
Let me know how you get on with it - would love to see what you create!
do you know how different the tz18 is to the tz7? I'm wanting to get a lumix tz, just not sure which version.
Hi, in my own experience the quality tends to drop off after the TZ6-10, but you may be lucky. Some good reviews around! I hope your hunt goes well.
such a poetical review
Thank you so very much!
Hello good day sir. I have also tz7 camera. What setting did you use this? Is this scn? Did you also adjust the white balance?
Hello to you too! There’s a mixture of settings used in these photos. Some scene, but I believe for the main photo used in the thumbnail this was simply taken on auto setting.
Thank you sir. Does it mean the iA in the dial button or the camera icon? How about the quality settings, did you select the SH and 10M when pictures? @JoeAquatic
@@valeriegaylelomocso7271 IA at SH :)
This is a great video!! Thanks for sharing the technical bits of Lumix..
Thank you for the video! I have a Lumix DMC-FX37, Canon SX210is, PowerShot A630 and a Sony Cyber-Shot W510. For me these old cameras make such a difference compared to my 1000€ Flip 3 phone. They have wonderful colour sience, a real flash and with the SX210is I have a wonderful 14x zoom :D I am still looking to get a TZ10, the leica lenses are amazing!
Thank you for the comment! Have you tried the Lumix LX3? This is on my "want" list.
@@JoeAquatic Not yet but it is also on my wish list, RAW and F2 is really nice! Also on my list is the Olympus xz-1 with F1.8 also RAW and a better zoom :D
The best song regarding Channel Light vessel automatic ,Ive hear for donkies 😅
Hi Joe, the video is really good, she floats really well like you said and since you hadn't rowed in a long time that's not bad at all. I have recently got into boat repairing/building with my first video being released, please check it out and suggest ways I could improve on it possibly? Thanks Tom
Hi, thanks for the kind words. Good work on the boat repairs. Repairing gel coat is especially tricky as I’m sure you discovered! One thing I would say is to resist the temptation to cover all your wooden items with epoxy as it tends to crack over time. A good marine or exterior varnish should do the job as long as you view it as something to reapply every season or two.
Superb :)
Thank you! Cheers!
Lookin good. Bonus "ASMR Rain on a tarp" vid too. Genius.
It's the little things...
two people are at Tiree Automatic
Simon Murray, thanks!
I've sailed out to the GLVA on my little yacht from Newhaven,it's six hours each way...great song : )
Thank you!
Thanks!
Interesting.
Very interesting!
Love it! I'm smiling now.
INDICATE THAT THE LIGHT-VESSEL IS OUT OF POSITION .
Ta!
Great song
Not that I know of. This was posted on my account by mistake by a family member, at which point it was too late to change it.
I think I need to remaster this as some point. It's a real shame the audio messes up what is frankly a towering artistic accomplishment...
@DLandonCole Not quite, but close... who was to know?!
@Grafferty And I shall buy thee a pint of Black Knackers.
@Grafferty You did. And it WILL be used.
@thedeadpony Who the devil are you? Do you constitute a "fan base"? I'd be shocked if so...!
