Bluecoats three-year vet and ageout Javi Ayala returning for another go at the whole band thing. On the real though, this was one of the greatest experiences in my entire life. Hope you all enjoy!

Edit-- oh crap... I forgot that I'd commented a few days ago... I'm sorry 😓😓 Could someone please explain to me the difference between 'bass trombone' and a 'normal trombone'? Like, aren't trombones already in bass clef? I'm probably just being an idiot, though. I joined band just this year, so I don't know much... ;-;
0:03 DEAR GOD! I DID NOT REMEMBER I HAD MY VOLUME ALMOST MAX!
What an honor it was to march beside of so many amazing Bluecoats. Love you all and miss all of you. 6W BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
where's my boy DANE at though
9:25 poor front ensemble dude gets an earful of BRASS
Never in my life have I seen someone have so much fun in a place where I'd effing explode, you must have had the time of your life dude.
3:45 the balls on this guy
I finally found the bass trombone headcam from the Bloo Alumni! So glad you were a part of this and played your original part from 2016 like what Ben did! 😁
Did I guys have extra baris or did someone take them to the front sideline?
I have watched this head cam 5+ times and I just Realized that he has 2 bass bones and 2 euphoniums.
3:44 😱
This video inspired me and made me realize how much i love bass bone (this headcam is awesome)
the fact that he casually threw his horn and caught it!!!!!!!!!!!
8:58 was probably the most bitter sweet moment for you, seeing Ben playing the solo again while you're playing the bass bone part of DSU!
aka the best part of the show
What mouthpiece to use
i use a 51
for baritone and euphonium
this is one of the first times ive actually heard a bass bone and its amazing
Same ol Javi we saw back in 16 💙🍁
Yooo I’m in the beginning of the video - nice (blue shirt tuba guy)
i love seeing the bass bone part from 2016 again, those pedal g's make me so happy
Getting to play alongside 75 years of Bluecoats during finals week was truly unforgettable. Y'all absolutely killed it in Lucas Oil, 6W
I know this is 6 years later, so if you cannot remember that’s okay, but out of curiosity, why did you play middle C with first and third valves so much? From a tbone player :)
I am so honored to march in the alumni Corps this year with you 2 spots behind you in the opening sets. 6W Javi See you in August.
BRO THAT BARI TOSS 😩😩😩
I love all the vocals you have during the show lol. On another note, I hope to march bluecoats in a year, and performances like these are what motivate me to work towards it!
"their band can't be THAT good" *practices without a field*
I’m a sophomore in high school and really want to march in drum corp but i am struggling with paying for it is there a way to do dim down the cost?
as a fellow bass player (currently in high school) I whole heartedly think this is an absolutely brilliant use of the instrument, your energy just makes my day, I wish that my band could have a 10th of that energy when marching
Can I have permission to use this video and put a few other different cameras of other people in this to make a video with all parts?
played this at hammocks 4 years ago. I still come back to listen to this incredible recording.
I felt your exact energy when I was a junior in high school and I marched clarinet. Granted, I couldn’t vocalize it, but it was so much fun! Congrats on winning the world championship on your age-out year!
I auditioned for a corp this year on bass trombone and to have a part like yours is my ultimate dream! your energy and your OBESE bass trombone tone have absolutely inspired me :)
I appreciate it greatly 😊
obese is an amazing word for that
What's the vocal at 4:48 ? It sound familiar lmao
God. Beautiful and inspiring. I miss this activity like words can't describe, but watching this brings me back. I was cheering, crying, fist pumping... Thanks for making an "old man" happy.
3:43 i'm sorry but *WHAT THE FUCK*
3:44 BRUH
This video made me switch to bass trombone 3 years ago, this was a life changing video and i am now going to be a freshman in college persuing bass trombone. Thank you
It’s an honor to have inspired you, dude! Keep rocking that bass bone playing 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
JAVI how am I just now seeing this??? Bro! THAT WAS AWESOME! I was literally out of my chair when y’all were hyping for the last octet! You inspire me so much dude, you have no idea. I miss it!
My dude!! 😭😭😭 I appreciate it greatly! 💙🍁 #6words
Hey Ben
There is also a drum line
@jazzjavi is it just me or do you play on 4 different horns? Lol
This song makes me visualize 2 settings. The sun setting in a city, as the sky darkens a chilling wind blows by, sending a volley of crisp, Autumn air, bringing scarlet and orange leafs with it. A man in his long trench coat walks the street, his coat flaps a little in the wind. He dosent live here, he is simply walking back to his car. As he departs from the city. The sun and it’s scarlet rays shine apon his face, he smiles as he looks forward to getting to his home on the countryside. As his car pulls on the gravel road, a mighty oak tree let’s out a creaking noise as it’s red and orange branches swing in the wind. The man steps out of his car and looks at his log cabin. He sighs a sigh of relief “Home at last” he thinks. He steps through the door, his dog immediately greeting him. He sets down his coat and his bags, in the kitchen he prepares himself a cup of hot chocolate, and steps to the back porch of the cabin. As he watches the last of the sun fade, and the rising of the moon, he sips his beverage. The sun is now setting, and that same wind blows by, the man gets chills at this chilly wind, but is pleased as he knows, this is the beginning of autumns twilight
*me vining to the trombones and the grunting* “BRRRRRRRRRRR” me: oh shit is that a bass bone
I love your coked out energy, it really adds so much more to the headcam than just good playing and marching
Ok s that like the 🎺
What mouthpiece did you use for this show?
Hammond 12xl for the Baritones, Hammond 20BL for the first Bass Bone, and my personal 1G Megatone for the second Bass Bone
Bro that bone part was AMAZING
