I’m going to be switching from DOT 5 to dot 4 because I’m upgrading my master cylinder to a BREMBO RCS 19 but I wanted to know how I can get rid of the old dot 5 fluid in my brake lines and switch to dot 4 I will be rebuilding my calipers so that’s not an issue they will have new seals and will be cleaned out but I wanted to know how I can get the DOT5 fluid completely out of the brake lines because I know DOT 5 and DOT 4 are not supposed to mix.

Just curious why if you blow someone motor doing an oil change you don't honor and confess that you all made a mistake. You blew the motor on my BMW X3 a 36,000 dollar car.

officially the worst video, not even attempting to explain the 'restricted performance'

The MK6 block, crankshaft, rods, pistons are very strong. The rings has nothing to do with shrinking, is carbon buildup and wrong design of oil control rings. Whoever owned this car did not keep up with maintenance.

This is honestly one of the worst cars to buy. The first time my restricted performance light came on in my 2011 Jag XJL Supercharged w/ less than 40k miles, it shut my car down. I replaced injectors for nearly $2000. That was 2018 I think. After that I’ve had to repair cracked factory rims numerous times ($250 each time), the battery x2 the alternator ($1100), & regular maintenance. The restricted performance light popped on again then popped off last week at around 58k. It drove home fine but I know something’s up. I parked it & I’m in my trustworthy Honda Accord w/ over 250k miles, all original parts except headlights & maybe the battery. The only reason I still have my Jag is because it’s paid for basically. Let this be a lesson, DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. Lease it if you must. I’m a healthcare professional but it’s a total liability for anyone.

If my car already has dot 4 fluid how would I go about switching it to the rbf 600 fluid? Do I need to flush the entire system or can I just empty the reservoir tank and refill that with rbf?

I would like to add that it depends on model, engine, transmission, fuel type, and even climate - factors that all have an impact on ownership costs. I purchased my VW brand new in Sept 2015, only a week or more until "Dieselgate" happened... luckily I ordered a gasoline engine and was unaffected, but one small decision on engine could have cost dearly and been so inconvenient!
