How to remove car emblems!! the good the bad and the ugly
Damn, you mix it by mixing it. Stealing that process for sure.
a lot of pros say that if you stir it you will create air pockets. That mat be true but I always go back behind it and use my spreader to get the air pockets out and rarely have any problems
@MatthewRikard33 not gonna lie, first time I hear about this. Tbf I have aways mixed it like you and never had any issues. Seems illogical to do it otherwise in order to get the best mix between the 2 components.
Daddy Dave don't stand a chance
I appreciate it
Pure madnass its legit
Thank you I get to work on a lot of promods like that it’s definitely a blessing. Working on the long form video of a lot of footage I got on the whole car
@@MatthewRikard33 ur channel underrated bro
@@Stefan-jb9hq I appreciate that very much man if there are any certain parts of these cars you want to see some more content on put it in the comments and I’ll make sure to spend some extra time getting that footage
@@MatthewRikard33 i seen more vides gotta send to friends this
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the review, and nice looking first gen F body!!!
Thank you
How many rools did you use? Ty 32x100
1 full roll and maybe 1/4 of another roll
Done my time as a coach builder and our booth was no were near this clean lol
Thankyou I need to service it soon haven’t pressure washed it since I layed down the pig Matt but after I wrap up these last parts on the promod I’m going to service it again
This method is called keeping the wet edge.
I try to. It’s the method that has worked best for me when doing a entire body
Looks like you were doing it perfectly
Love the set up, what lift did you go with?
Not my truck it was a customer not sure on the lift but it has a little bit of one
Would have really liked to hear the tool, and not the junk music.
Why arent these mainstream? I have had one a while but yet to use it. These are not popular. Why?
Can you elaborate
Looks good other than you didn’t take the bumper off. Need to paint the body then bumper separately
Hey thanks for the view. That is a 1 piece carbon fiber body the bumper and taillights are part of the body and not removal more than likely we will airbrush them to look like they are real
LMAO, you were probably so excited to make this post thinking you were gonna call someone out....
I'd love to see the finished product.
Stay tuned should be spraying the body next week haven’t decided on colors yet
Looking good! You have a nice shop, awesome set up. Glad I found your channel, after I subscribed I watched all your videos lol. Can't wait for more 👍
I really appreciate you commenting and watching all the videos. I’m working on trying to do more of the long form content. You have anything In particular you want to see from the channel
@@MatthewRikard33 i bet it takes time to make a video and post. Maybe a good review on your paint booth, cause I was planning on building my own. But adding up the materials cost it just seems better to purchase one. I did look up M-Tek and the price made me rethink. The materials you use, and anything to do with metal work, body work and paint.
@@careygale2315il definitely do some of those on the booth I bought mine about 3years ago and it was a lot less back then than it is now for sure
Nice back bumper mod.
I appreciate it
What ya tearing down for?
Passenger fender was caved in We are replacing it with a new one
Nice bro I've been having problems with water coming through I put a water trap but still any suggestions
If you can swing it buy a dryer. If not you can run copper tubing up and down about 5ft long for about 5 runs and put a drain valve at the bottom of each run it will help cool the hot air and run to water before it gets to your lines for spraying
What clear do you use boss
I just recently switched to sherwin Williams been spraying a lot of the 950 clear it’s very nice to spray and has a good gloss
Great tool I have 1939 chevy I'm using this tool to sand off old lead paint it is great!!!!!!
Great video, hope to pick one up soon.
Update: bought one, took two drums of 40 grit to strip a large 1973 Gran Torino Fast Back. Averaged around 30 /45 min per panel to bare metal through multiple layers of paint. Great tool, more projects to come!
I really enjoy the tool it works great and is electric so I don’t wear out the air compressor
This video was unbelievable helpful! Not even for the product but also the technique. Thanks a ton! 😊
Thankyou
Whats best to remove residule adhesive from last piggy mat
Not sure haven’t had it long enough to run into that problem yet
From viewing this video, this system looks somewhat slow and tedious. Do you think that it could be because your Camaro had LOTS of coats of old paint? I ask because I have two vehicles I want to do and both of them only have their original paint from the factory. Also, I wonder about using this tool after using a paint stripper chemical? What do you think?
The paint was very thick on this car it had a lot of polyester primer on other
I noticed you said in another comment didn't go through a WHOLE drum on that camaro. How much pressure did you apply to the tool?
Not much pressure it does a lot of the work for you
@Rpb1993 thank you
What size is the paint booth does it fit a truck ?
Inside diameter is 14 wide 28 deep and iv painted a couple 4 door trucks in there
Good looking shop… look forward to seeing some of your work
Thankyou I appreciate. Still trying to learn how to do some decent editing
i have this thing its heavy wears you out quick takes forever to do the task and it eats those drums up but it will get the job done one day
GOOD GRIEF: I wanted to hear the sound of that machine, but NOOO, you have to have some STUPID MUSIC playing. If I want to hear stupid music, I will go to MTV. Good Grief, never mind ! BY
What a stupid thing to take the time to write. Hit the mute button.
What about using an airplane stripper prior to this? Maybe a little bit faster but probably not by much huh?
Wow that takes a long time to strip paint but wow does that leave one nice finish
Tied for the most irritating music I’ve ever heard. Great content.
UA-cam and their stupid copyright nonsense I don't understand why they can't just make an agreement for part of the revenue to go to artists.but let's be honest we don't watch the videos for the music
I agree the music is terrible I'd sooner hear the tool do the work
Sounds like something' on a Christian rock channel or direct TV screen
Good stuff, use it for everything. Wetsand with 600 grit if need be.
Do the drums wear quickly? I will be using it to strip paint off dirt car body panels so similar use but not as much removal as a drag car. Thanks for the video.
Do you think this would be too aggressive to remove a bad rattle can paint job without sanding off the factory paint underneath?
YES! this will go thru the paint almost immediately with a coarse wheel. You can try to use a softer, less aggressive wheel if you want to just remove a couple layers. A DA may actually be better for that though.
Nice work bad ass truck
Thank you I appreciate it
🔥🔥🔥
Turned out GREAT🎉
Im curious as to how many drums it took to do the whole car?
I just used one on the body of the car and still had some left over to do the other panels
Which drum were you using? Very good video.
The black one I think it’s labeled 40 grit
Thanks for the video. PPG sells this as a rollable primer. Tech sheet doesn't say anything about spraying it, so good to know I can spray it too. I can see that rolling might be nice for a spot repair, but for any large panels spraying is the way to go.
days later he is growing old wishing he had used a sand blaster
Why would you sand blast sheet metal and risk the Warpage??? Maybe the trunk and jambs but not the actual body unless you want to spend $10,000 and hours trying to get it straight just cause your too lazy to take the time to actually work and strip the paint correctly.
Nice booth , just found your channel and subscribed
Is this really faster then 40-60gr orbital?
👍👍
The front end looks so cool💪💪
Tell your body guys to pull that body side molding.
can you repaint mine for free tho?
I used dp90lf. Came out on top of the cab of the truck almost like undercoating. No way in hell i can paint over this non sandable primer. Cant tell in your video if its smooth or rough like literally an orange. Small spots and bigger spots
You need a DA sander
I got one this is much faster than 80grit on a d/a
