That church is going to be part of a new education centre development, and in fact I didn’t know that until 2020, but apart from the building being decommissioned and it’s hall having been demolished this former church will still be a historical landmark

Wonderful and so very true. +Steven is right - the primary purpose of prayer is not to change circumstances; the primary purpose of prayer is to change us! Pray in the good times, pray in the times that are not so good - but either way, the chief objective remains the same: to glorify God in ANY and EVERY situation we face.

When I did a course in transition in the church community I knew that giving up stuff was difficult. Thanks Jan for clarifying so clearly for me that if I expect change to happen it has to begin with myself changing.
