I did reflect though on the fact that Phil lived his life fully, & shared w anyone who paid attention! RIP PHIL DONAHUE! 1935-2024..

The relationship between the black community, & the white community has been EXACTLY, like an abusive foster parent/child relationship! I'm telling you, Canadians have seen this from north of the border, FOR YEARS, & wonder why they've put up a it, FOR YEARS, & it is a sad commentary on the state of affairs in the U.S., that this many years after this show, the situation is still!, just as bad as ever! Demond Wilson looks aged gracefully. He has gotten really handsome. Rerun has also aged gracefully too. So glad he lost the extra weight. I grew up seeing all of the cast. Also my favorite talk show at that time was Donahue, Ricky Lake, Sally Jessy. A few of them are no longer with us. Resently we lost Donahue. I always had a crush on Donahue. He's last wife was beloved Marlo Tomas. They met in he's show. Such a beautiful couple. ❤

And Phil Donahue recently died August 18, 2024 age 88. Phil Donahue became a proud outspoken feminist thanks to his proud outspoken second wife actress Marlo Thomas who had been a proud outspoken feminist since the early 1970's too. And Phil was a single father to his 4 sons after his divorce from his second wife but his daughter lived with his ex wife. But he also did a lot of sensationalistic sleezy and some exploitive shows to get ratings especially when later on he had a lot of competition with other talk shows like Jerry Springer etc who were even more so.

Just one month after this show aired Danny Thomas died of a heart attack at age 79.

One episode of Danny's show featured this nose fixing issue. I never knew he really went though that that Many times in his life. That's so short-sighted of the network to do this to such a men who founded one of the greatest hospitals in the nation. As of recently, St Jude's daily operating costs are now at $8,000,000. Can you just IMAGINE that yet parents of these young victims are NEVER charged a DIME for their treatment!

Demond Wilson is the only one still alive as of the end of August 2024.

Two wonderful men. I'm so sad for Marlo Thomas. Losing the love-of-her-life has to be devastating. 💔💔💔. Danny Thomas was a true humanitarian. I also admire Marlo Thomas for her dedication to St. Jude, which is a continuation of her father's dream. ♥️♥️♥️

Sadly Paul Tsongas passed away 6 years later in 1997 he was only 57
