@@YogaNarasimhaEpuri this is wrong statement. You can have a generic class, generic interface or generic method.But generic in itself is nothing. So T (parameterized type) can be associated with a class, interface or method. You cannot use T alone as T in itelsf does have any meaning.

@@vedisoft_in yes sir, I understood about that T should be used with class,... But inside the class, why I cannot create an array like this, T[] arr = new T[10]; -> why error T[] arr = (T[]) new Object[10] -> No Error. Due to type erasure, in the compiled code info about T won't present, so whats make differences between these syntax.

@@YogaNarasimhaEpuri Yes, u got it, it won't result in compilation error because T is a part of the class. Your answer is within the question itself:-)

Just a suggestion, Try to add codes while saying words, Higlighting that part of code varags highlighting parameter, (Image) And sir, Can you explain the below line of code why I cannot wirte like T[] arrObj = new T[10]; atlast T is replaced by Object in .class file, Then why this syntax? I am new to Java, not able to understand the online solutions T[] arrObj = (T[]) new Object[10]; Thank you,

@@YogaNarasimhaEpuri dear, generics have some restrictions, you cannot create an aaray of generics that's why first line will result in compilation error, but you can pass reference of existing arrays in generics that's why second line will compile. I would request to kindly watch generics restrictions video in mastering generics playlist to know the details
