“Progressive Christians” is an oxymoron.

Let me ask one question: Did God have anything to do with the Bible at all? Is the Bible ultimately Divine or merely human in origin?

Promoters of progressive Christianity are wolves-in-sheep's clothing leading many souls to hell. The Lord Jesus warns us over and over to beware of these false teachers. They do not take the Bible seriously. They do not take Jesus seriously or they would obey His commands. Jesus warns us, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father who is in heaven,...And then will I profess to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21,23. Jesus also warns in Matthew 7:15, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

If this is so relevant, why is it shrinking faster than the polar ice caps? If I can be progressive without church, why bother with church?

I agree with him on the question "hell". Beyond that, while I *hope* for a good or pleasant afterlife, I don't hold a particular or specific *belief* about an afterlife.

For once someone explains Progressive Christianity in a positive light.

You support gay relationships, yet call yourself a reverand? You are the definition of a false teacher and should repent.

Maybe it’s not those verses that are wrong but maybe your understanding of God‘s nature and the contextual nature of those passages is wrong. How can you believe anything in the Bible then if you think it was just written by humans with no inspiration from God?

Thank you. Mr. Woolsey. You speak of the true path as opposed to the well intentioned but misguided path of man. It’s the difference between the authentic words of Jesus and the dogmatic and judgmental words of the Pharisees. This is enlightened Christianity for a modern world.

It's not "anti-gay." Please be accurate. It's taking a stand with Scripture that condemns sexual relations among those of the same sex and outside marriage of a man and woman which is the model put forth by God and Jesus. That is not being "anti-gay" because Christians are not "against" people. It's a matter of agreeing with God on his judgments.

Progressive Christianity expands individuals ability to disobey God to justify their desires. Like the anti purity rhetoric: "It's okay to stay the night, as long as your not having sex....really? So when scripture says flee from temptation it's wrong? No it's not. This is only 1 small example. The Pharisee's did the same thing. They justified, with their man-made laws, to make money, to control people. If your progressive you have that right, God gave you free will. As for me and my family we shall obey God's word as he gave it. If it creeps in your Church get rid of it or leave that church. John says "They cared more of the honor of men than the honor of God.

He's right! Taking the bible literally is foolish AND dangerous!!! Think for yourself, use the intellect that God has given you, instead of blindly believing every word from a book that has passages been added to over the years and passages deleted from. INVESTIGATE the history of the bible based on FACTS-> listen to Bart Ehrman, a professor that has been studying the Greek scriptures/new testament for 30 years-> it will open your eyes.... The bible is NOT infillable! Investigate for yourself before you make the decision to just simply believe it all.... And for all you conservative christians-> you seem to forget that the biggest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself.... + Math. 7:1-> Do NOT judge for you will be judged yourself Don't be a hypocrite... Thinking that you will go to heaven with a judgmental heart.....? 🤔 That's what the world sees when they hear and see you conservative christians-> your hypocrisy and hatred towards gays etc. draws them away from the God who loves them so much!!! Panentheism and pantheism, pandeism and panpsychicism are often mixed up.weak panentheism is sort of compatible with modern outlook Christianity but certainly not with old school Christianity as it postulates the universe flows from emanations from God and the emanations are God in the same way sun light and heat are part of the sun.the traditional Catholic view being that God made the universe out of nothing and didn't emanated it an idea formulated by Plotinus about 2000 years ago and probably based on ancient Greek concepts although Plotinus seems to have been trying to marry up Plato and Aristotle along with his own ideas.Gnosticism is a form of panentheism.both panentheists and pantheists claim Plotinus as one of there own but as both concepts are fairly fluid and merge it's hard to say.
