Yeppers...............da ol' 60! Modern reverb pedals just ain't the same! They just have the best sound and we won't mention the all out best headroom of any effects co then or now! I have 2 of them and if I wasn't too lazy to bring a rack to my house gig of 10 years (pedals only) I would get a third! Aw shucks maybe I'll just get a third!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had 'em since I was 20. My dad reluctantly co-signed a loan for me back in the day to help out my career!!!!!!!

FT 69s are the best - it reacts with you! The only neg would be the germanium temperature stability thing. You just can't put it on your board and then fly to Seatle or Oregon! Thank you for the compliment! Peace, Curtis

Yeah, I listened to a lot of the greats from back then my whole adult life. Still do. Morse, EJ, Allan and etc etc...... My early influences were Lifeson, Page, EVH, Travers, Trower, Hendrix etc etc...........I go way back with great guitar players! Just tryin' to keep the tradition goin' ya know?!

BOC - Fuzz boxes are easily acquired through musical instrument retail platforms such as Reverebed and eBroke.

Don't go by hype and price as all FBs are different and you just have to try a million and figure out which ones you like. You can pay $20 or $2000 and really, they are basically the same layout/circuit. The only differences (and here's where the hype layeth) are the transistors. Good luck!

Hi Ivan! No problems returning and receiving the replacement amp. Great dealer! Handled the return well. The amp is wonderful and I use it mainly for medium to high gain purposes. The clean is great but I view the amp as a monster and use the lead channel. When I find the time I will try pedals in front of the clean channel to see what that channels all about. The great thing about the amp is if if does need servicing, being "hand wired" its easy to work on and much cheaper to repair by a tech.

But it's not a dumble! I wouldn't spend anywhere near what they want for any amp. Even if I had it! ..... Ah .... well, I might just have it. Haven't looked lately as I'm not about that? Ah man I'll cut the crap right here. I am about the money! .....Isn't everybody! Ok..... IT'S A (F-BOMB) DUMBLE! ....... Hi Aaron, I haven't been speaker shopping lately so no to the alnicos. The cab I used here is a Marshall 1960B with a black grill and a gold "1960 lead" plate to lower left front. It is from the late 90s I believe with stock "uncool" Celestion G12T-75 speakers. Very Propriety! They sound great to my ears and I really didn't pay a lot for the cab at all. Less than some new speakers cost just for one alone! I acquired it after I lost another similar cab in a fire that burnt down the club I was playing at at the time and I still play at! @@curtisreid9100 Wow. Sorry to hear about the fire! Those 75’s are great speakers and probably polar opposites of the alnico cream haha. IMO, speakers should be collected the way overdrive pedals are-they have far more influence in tone. The Cream 90s have a slow attack so it’s not ideal for heavier styles but it’s very well balanced unlike a Celestion Blue. I like it clean (though not my favorite), but I love it for dirty sounds.

@@soulSaysHi I would like to have more speakers yes! Like fuzz units or overdrives!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES! BRING IT ON! I do have a LOT of speakers in my arsenal. I have a dear friend Shelby Church, who has spoke highly of the alnico creams for years. I, unfortunately, am downsizing (eventually!) and looking at my retirement horizon and considering my life as wonderful and I have THE GREATEST WIFE on this planet and need to really sock it away as opposed to load another cab with more speakers that I would need to buy as well! And................... well, to put it another way, speakers are not high on the list as they once were! Especially as I am recording all the new material via Two Notes Torpedo!!!!!!! MUSICA! Who knows? Maybe the new album will SELL MILLIONS to viewers here on the tube and I can TOUR THE WORLD! That's when I'll load the basketweaves with Alnicos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
