Yo I would definitely recommend MPC1000! You can save the kits and your programs in a Compact Flash or CF card, it’s like a bigger SD card.

Hey man, just to be sure I understood correctly, you say its possible to copy all the files from an MPC project (PRJ file + PGM files + samples) to MPC beats and it will read it ? I'm trying to do so with my MPC1000. Thanks !

Hey man - just got the software and tried it. It does work but the samples are sounding a bit different so looking into it. Thanks @TheBoomBapper great suggestion!

@@UranKabashi You are welcome! As far as I know if you used the 16th levels or the slider, the data are not transferred correctly. As a workaround you could always resample inside the machine, then export. The sound is different because you are not going through the MPC outputs so there's no conversion. But I experimented that after exporting stems from MPC Beats and mixing them in my daw, I could achieve a very good sound. I'll give you anther little trick: in MPC Beats there's plugin to emulate the sound of old classic MPCs. You can add it on the master or on the individual channels before exporting the stems, it will make it sound closer to the classic MPC sound!

Go in record mode and record each track loop then move it in your daw.

Let me know if you find it. The JJOSXL has some features that help with this but pretty manual from what I have seen

I mean you can, but that doesn’t allow you flexibility when you are mixing the sounds together in DAW. If you want to turn down or add effects to the drums, you will be affecting the sample and vice versa

@@UranKabashi Thanks for the reply. Bu Nah, I mean on different tracks of course. So to let the loop of the sample play and then record a drum pattern separately. This is not possible? Im asking because im interested in buying one of these.

@@Stoney-Jacksman You can with the multiple outs that are in the back of the MPC 1000. As someone said, the FX and functionality is a bit limited. Plus you need a mixer to handle it and lots of 1/4in cables

@@UranKabashi Oh damn..thanks for the reply again bro. Its so weird that I have always thought it could do this. I have an sp404sx so I guess I could cut the sample on the mpc1000 and then record it to the SP and then let it play there to play drums over it, right? But then again I just spent some time reading and watching videos, and seeing that im used to recycle for chopping- I think the mpc would make it much harder for me to chop as how im doing now.

@@Stoney-Jacksman Chopping is time consuming on the MPC. You can cut the sample on the MPC and send to SP404X easily

Too many cords and it gets cluttered. I’ve heard some MPCs have noise or other issues with the individual outputs.

Just been testing this myself today. The individual outs bypass the fx sadly on the mpc1000 but they sounded ok if you aren't using FX/using external ones in your daw. It's a little frustrating but I get why they did it. 2000xl, 3000 and 4000 allow fx on the individual outs I think
