Thankyou so much bro !! Yeah so pretty awesome pickups I must say. I always feel like I neglect buying physical anime so I thought I may as well spend a fair bit to keep me going xD I did one for last year but defo got one coming out soon. Will be taking down the christmas decs soon as they are hiding my anime collection xD

A perfectly fine question to ask. I do this as a hobby primarily and as a way to talk about the things I like via an outlet. If it ever turns into something more thats great.

the colony drop did cause alot of death from its impact to lots of tsunamis and other environmental effects tho

@kutless45 I think it was cause I was expecting the conflict that's going to happen in the next ova movie is all. I think I would have been happier in hindsight if it had ended with the song. But maybe it was cause I was a bit fed up with the 8 minute flashback at the beginning also xD

@FireRaptor05 Well I may have been lied to. I have seen season 1 and loved it but had heard bad things about season 2 so just haven't watched it. To be fair I'm hoping to get more manga in 2025 and should defo aim to finish off some of my series like Vin Saga !! But good shout for having my back pal !! Big ups. Sometimes my knowledge comes from the grape vine and it isn't always right

@@TheBoomerBase the main reason people complain about Vinland s2 is that it cuts down on the action. I wont get into spoilers but the series changes direction & a lot of people didnt like that but s2 of Vinland is one of the best seasons of anime i have ever watched. Hope you keep enjoying it & the manga is incredible too!

@phoenixgaming894 Hey pal. Yes I did. I bought it on Ebay sometime between 2016 and 2018 for around 175£ I think. I got mega hooked. No one I know or even the youtubers I watch have seen Major which is sad as it's amazing !

I wont lie, not the upmost care is taken with them, to me they arent something I will sell later, and it if it really bothers me I can always buy a new version in the future. But they normally sit on my shelf and I try, try being the big word, to dust every few months. Once I move, if I have a bigger room, maybe I should look into better ways to keep them. But for me they are my personal thing, not to sell but to read :) hope that helps

@cathaldaerobar4667 Yeah I still do and so do many collectors. Not everything has gone to blu ray sadly. And with streaming or renting or buying on prime etc. Nothing is owned. Physical collecting is so rewarding :)

If you read the Japanese you can see it uses the same character, ダ - pronounced like "dah", three times. So its "dan da dan" with a soft A. If it was du it would beドゥ.

Ah man im sorry to hear you think Origin is the worst intro, for me at least I am really enjoying this. I think for something big like Gundam it is definitely a really good starting point. I looking forward to seeing his change in OG gundam. I am glad that Gundam Origin is giving me a reasonable reason as to why Char/Casval is a "bad guy" as for me that will help going forward :)

@TheBoomerBase The problem with Origin Char is he's this cackling evil mastermind, OG Char wasn't. Origin reads like the B.S. actual Char would make up so people didn't realize how little he actually planned ahead.

@2Lupus1 I will give it some thought. I am worried if I dive into the series I might get turned off whereas the films are more digestible just for now. But obviously I have to finish the origin first. Have given myself a week break. To see how I feel about the recap at the beginning xD

btw if u want a short gundam anime that will make you want to watch gundam even more watch Thunderbolt Gundam its pure GOLD its only 2 seasons 4 episodes each and some of the best animation in all of gundam (even though its set in UC as well its also "Technically" not canon but everyone loves it)

@2Lupus1 ahh that's unfortunate. I think origin so far has been amazing to start for me at least. Is origin like half canon xD as in the overall context is right? Or when I come to the og gundam is it just all gonna be different with different characters?

@2Lupus1 would I understand what's going on ? Or would it spoil things at all. As I kinda wanna keep it semi linear for timeline etc. But added to list anyways till I hear back from you ;)

@@TheBoomerBase it wont ruin anything and there will be the same charcters (some a bit diffrent from their orgins version) just orgin changes some major events and changes the technology quite a bit for example in the orgin the fedaration get mobile suits alot earlier then they do in the main time line also the dawn rebellion never actually happend (just to make things clear its perfectly fine to watch the orgin before the orgianl series also the orgin is a technically a prequel anyway so it dosnt directly change anything with the orgianl series anything but keep in mind its not canon

​@@TheBoomerBase thunderbolt gundam is not connected to anything else at all it can be easliy watched by its self (its what i reccomend as a starter series for gundam) its just also set at the same time the og series think of it as an alterneivte timeline of the orginal series like the orgin

I am really sorry to hear you think that way of me and that you regret clicking on the video in the first place. At this moment in time I just don't like her character and that's fine. I am allowed to not like a character and subsequently I am also allowed to not want to have a show tell me a sad backstory for a character that's annoying as heck to me make me try like her? If she has a sad backstory and it makes me like her then that's fine. But once again I am sorry I disappointed you.

@@TheBoomerBase there is a big diffrence between disliking a character and just straight up acting as if she is a bad person. people that tend to behave this way about fictional characters also tend to talk about people this way behind thier back. and that is for matter of fact proven several times in several studies.

@Phonk_kouhai I had to go to Google incase I was being unreasonable. And from a simple search of whether people like aira as a character. The majority if not all seemed to hate her character introduction but it seems after this arc she gets better. Which I have said is fine. Disagreeing with whether I like a character is completely fine but bashing my character over my views on one character isn't very nice. So please don't continue that. @Mestari1Gaming You know what I think after more reflection I did too. To a degree at least. I think if there is a continuation then they need to up there game with the human side. But yeah need more mech on mech fights as they were awesome !!

But defo agree with the eren and anakin having tragic vibes. Yeah origin definitely feels like space game of thrones but instead of dragons we get mechs

But alas I am a noob at gundam and I'm glad it is showing I guess xD actually no it is good it's showing that way or it would defeat the point. Yeah I am looking forward to the last few episodes and seeing where it goes from there. I am really hoping og gundam is how I am thinking it might be now, fingers crossed. And thankyou they shall all be added to the list. What would be your recommendation for after gundam origin ? Is the movies of og right or should I just go for the series? Is there much difference between the films and series ? What about after the og gundam whether films or series

@@TheBoomerBase My personal opinion on what to watch for the OG is to watch the movies first. They clean up a lot of stuff, remove a lot of the quirky stuff, and can be watched in an afternoon. If you liked the movies, then watch the series. If not, don't bother. That way you still get the main story of the One Year War, but you don't spend a lot of time on it. One example that's not really a spoiler, the Gundam is a Mobile Suit in the movies. In the series, they did this weird thing where it was more of a fighter with mobile suit parts that change out. You can see this again in SEED Destiny. Kinda wonky and weird. But the movies, it's just a suit which makes more sense. One thing about them I will say is Doans Island is something to think about. They did an episode that was so bad it's not included in most places for the series. But, they also redid the episode into a pretty good movie a couple years back. So it's up to you on which you watch. I'd argue both because it is a good story, and the OG episode is good for a laugh.

@Plaprad I love this comment. I like that vibe of watch the movies. If I love em watch the show if not continue and can always come back another day. The switching out gear reminds me of like transformers armada with the minicons xD

@@TheBoomerBase ; Was that what they called the 12 part series? I had forgotten, it came out later, and I don't remember watching the whole thing, because it was the same as the OVA, just in a different format.

@@jvcyt298 As far as im aware - I could be wrong - I think there are two origin series - One is just Origin thats 6 parts and movie length - and then Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Advent of the Red Comet which is 12 ep 20 min series - I got told to go with the OVA movie one for more depth - I think I had watched Red Comet but from revisiting origin I think I only saw a few eps of the red comet and not all of it :)

@kutless45 I thought going with origin would be good for an animation stand point. Then to get some context and go back. I'm looking forward to og gundam tbf

It's similar. Many things are different, but they're not bad changes. Both are amazing as stand-alone stories, and if you don't be too picky on differences, you'll love it. It's interesting the way the movie focuses more on growing trust and coming together as an island than the book. The animals have to work for the trust they already had in the book. Also, the movie focuses a lot on parenting and shows it in a very relatable and hilarious way.

@@yueli9984 I think the mech animation was good and looked great in some of the fight scenes. But the human aspect really let it down. Now I have only started watching gundam origin and even for a show that's nearly 10 years old now it looks fantastic

Love this, im hoping those that watch this will enjoy the journey of me exploring Gundam for the first time :)

I have and own Gurren Lagann, love it ! Enjoy Code Geass as well tbf, they have been things that have interested me mech wise, gundam was always a hurdle I wanted to cross and thankfully I am now and enjoying it !

For me it was. I love Spiderman and the symbiotes. That's what I really adore marvel wise. And whilst tom hardy was great in his role. What we got from the trilogy as a whole was mediocre at best for what we could have had. Like even venom in spiderman 3 is arguably better than what we got story wise. But I can fully respect your opinion pal and I'm sorry we disagree. But I'm glad you enjoyed them :)

And I enjoyed it developing but the story for venom 3 was very convoluted and mismatched. Very rushed. They could have easily made that into a 2 parter and it not have felt slow etc. Like the end end credit scene is gonna end up having no relevance like the blue beetle and tons of other marvel ones. And it just sucks to tease stuff for no end. I have Sony learn and sell the rights. Or join forces.
