Did Black Panthers have anything to do with the fist and the reason the authorities at that time was so against it? And also his depression and addiction is a personal choice not to be shown as it's something he was forced to do because of his choice to be there. I feel you young lady so make sure to keep learning more and more and not just from the Black side but from ALL sides of history

Here’s a non-CRT historical fact that isn’t thought in schools. Prior to the US Civil War, most whites did not own black slaves. Black slaves were mostly own by the wealthy southern plantation owners. Not only did black slaves cost more than what the average white American could afford, they had to be housed, clothed, fed, and maintained. Black slaves also required an overseer to prevent runaways because they were an investment for the plantation. Therefore, most whites did their own laundry. Prior to the black African nations selling their own people into the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade to the European explorers, black Africans washed their clothing by hand in nearby rivers. They had no experience with washboards and buckets until they were brought to the Americas, and they learned how to create soap from their owners. Even after slavery, no poor white American could afford a black servant. They still did their own laundry. However, middle and upper class Americans could afford a black housekeeper or hire a black person to clean their clothes. Notice I did not say “white middle and upper class Americans”; because even middle and upper class blacks had black servants as well. Even between the years of 1619 and 1630, before the black colonialist Anthony Johnson made his people slaves for life in the British American colonies, former black slaves (turned into free Virginian land owners) had black and/or white slaves as well. Washing clothes is not a sacrifice for anyone or any one race, and blacks historically oppressed their own just like they still do today. So, let’s not pretend that a mundane task is something to celebrate; especially when it’s done by people who aren’t known for contributing anything meaningful to society.
