Can opener can(!) be a good gasket scraper/spoon carving knife, and Felix Immler has a nice modification to make the can opener a decent package opener, for the ones without a small blade. The cork screw on the 91 mm ones, is perfect for removing o-ring seals. I guess re-purposing the tools with modern requirements is the way to go. See Nik Gyver (? Greek guy) for this type of SAK usage. Or actually modifying the SAK to what you want, say, Electrician X.

The Pioneer model that you showed us is based upon the actual 'Soldier Knife' issued by the Swiss Military to every recruit from 1961-2008. The toolset is identical to the 1994-2008 revision (Modell 1961 Ausführung 1994). Although almost identical in looks, there are three main differences between the Soldier knife and the Pioneer. The first is that the Soldier knife has a 2 digit year of manufacture stamped on the main blade (Mine is 05 denoting 2005). The second is that the soldier knife does not have a keyring attachment, and the third is that the Soldier knife has no rectangular engraving panel on the back scale. Hope this helps...

Appreciate you breaking things down. I’ve been looking for a type of Victorinox 101 video. I must admit though, I have been in situations more than once where I have used the can opener……..Vacation rentals with poorly stocked amenities, our regular can opener just wouldn’t work properly, and one time I had to open a can of tuna at a picnic for someone who forgot to bring a can opener from home, etc. It’s actually been pretty handy at times and I was grateful I had it and remembered that I had it. 😂TFS☮️

Hi Deaner! (Or is it Deanir?) I saw you and Doody torture-testing the SOS OTF knives and read your "about" section and listened to your narrative. Man, can I ever relate, I'm an EDC/collector guy myself. ...How many knives? Well...how much sand is in the sea? I buy them, play with them, sharpen them, but never actually use them. So you might say I'm WAY down that rabbit hole! Oh, and so you know, I have an SOS on order. I don't buy super-expensive knives, but if I added up all the el cheapo knives I have purchased over the years, I could own a few really nice ones. Take care!

Hey there my Viking Brother, I had 2 AR's I built one and sold it with with the 5.56 upper. The other one is a DPMS lower with a Tactical Solutions .22 upper. I guess I should invest in a 5.56 complete upper and a waterproof tube to keep o e of the uppers in. Also on my SIg M-18 9mm I have a dark earth Wilson Combat grip module with the Sig Romeo 1 pro and the Olight Baldar mini light/green laser combo that is rechargeable and a Springfield Armory XD40 Tactical. Not to mention the 6 Billion knives I have lol...more like 50 knives lol.😊

I held off for so long on getting the drunken because of the stock clip. Recently i got one from lynch and bought the knife and clip together. The lynch clip is definitely a must for that knife and the way lynch designed it so it sits on the frame instead of over the lockbar. That added complex geometry to mill the part just right for it to look straight but the part that gets screwed down is turned. My only nit pic on the drunken is the lite detent, but knew going in that they were lite. Hopefully knives ship free took care of the replacement.

My swayback should arrive in the next day or two. I ordered mine from White Mountain. Bummer on the Marks on the blade. Hopefully knives ship free still has a good one to swap it out for you. Thanks for showing it.

What a cool clip on the Drunken! I wish they had put a special clip on the Swayback too. That textured lock side is beautiful. I foresee the lockbar relief cutout possibly snagging on the pocket going in and out, since it’s right under the clip there. Overall, it looks to be a really amazing knife and that polished stonewashed is 😍

Nice knife . I seen this taken apart . It’s wild inside there . SatuDave s channel has a vid from a few weeks ago where he took it apart and showed all the gears . Actually has small gears and sprockets and rods like a rear end of a car . Pretty cool .

Słysz designs are awesome, never tried the Swayback, but my original Techno - i used to edc for quite a while. Own both sebenza sizes in 21 version, large micarta for work and small insingo naked for street carry. Thanks for a great vid brother, sweet knives.

I found it difficult to thumb flick as well, those thumbstuds are slippery. Beast of a knife!! I actually even did a cut test with it, and it did surprisingly well
