i thought Longlegs was so fun. i went to see it by myself (i also couldn't get anyone to go with me and girly, finding the courage to go to the movies alone is so freeing) and am dragging my sister to the movies with me so i can see it again next week. i haven't been able to stop thinking about the scene where carter and his wife argue at the end and the scares were so effective.

Love this video idea!!! I was watching cbs ghosts while crocheting and that one was good, then started pushing daises (and that show is SO good cancelled too soon but needs your attention because it’s so beautiful and interesting ) so Ive been looking for a different show to watch!

I watch a lot of content like yours!! But also, true crime or dateline type shows. When my boyfriend is here I crochet while he watches sports.. he's amazed I can do both 😂 I'm amazed he can sit still so long just watching sports 😂

Based on you really liking Buffy you should check out Lost Girl. Also Haven. Both are supernatural occurance of the week shows with slow build overarching plots that just have really great character dynamics.

Well, like some others here, your story really resonated with me. Creative person feeling stuck and hopeless, and general mental health not doing too good (putting it mildly… i had to get serious help, including meds, life is hard). I don’t have my own place either and no job (no social life either). All the more depressing is that I’m past 30, not in my 20s anymore (feels like I lost 10+ years of opportunities and experiences because of my mental health… only recently realized I may have had undiagnosed ADHD all my life too). I look at my little sister and she has a job, her home, her own pets, a guy she’s about to marry, quite a few friends… I’m happy for her but on the other hand, her success and happiness is like a reminder of my own failings (especially as the older sibling). But anyway, yeah, I always was a creative person, do stuff with my hands and daydreaming ideas. I draw/paint (my dream career was making animated movies… or at the very least, manage to sell my art), always liked clay modeling, tried learning guitar/piano (emphasis on *tried* 😅), used to write a lot (something school ruined a bit, alas… it’s the one set of skills I wish hadn’t atrophied like that, it sucks), etc… Now, the thing with fiber arts… I actually only recently got into crochet (thanks to my sister actually, who gifted me an amigurumi kit once for my birthday). I have been learning since a year ago. And it has brought back a lot of enthusiasm for creation I thought I had lost entirely these last few years (of really shitty mental… and even physical health… probably the lowest I ever felt). I actually did learn to knit when I was a kid, thanks to my grandmother… but it was fairly basic stuff and nothing ever got finished (story of my life, it’s frustrating… and I want this to change). I guess getting into crochet brought back a few nice childhood memories. But it’s also reknown that knitting/crocheting is great to reduce anxiety in general. The healthiest feel good drug to get addicted to 😂. Because yeah, as far as I’m concerned, I’m definitely addicted to crochet now (and I’m gonna get into punch needle and reintroduce myself to knitting next). And well… now I’m considering getting into designing my own stuff (though I try to learn as much as possible first… and the internet has never been this good at helping someone learn and improve a skill « on their own »). Though it’s kinda scary to consider an art career again when artists have never been so poorly treated. This capitalistic world cares not for small businesses (big corporations’ cheap mass production is unfair competition to hand crafters, and it goes beyond the art world… it’s sad, there are many talented and devoted hard working people out there who deserve so much more than working themselves to exhaustion only to earn so little in return to live, or even keep their work going) and the insulting and very damaging fraud that is AI generated content just want us actual creatives gone (while said « art » only exists because AI tools were designed to steal from artists). One side of me wants to do it anyway, start my small business against all odds (« if you never try, you’ll never know » after all… and being crafty is one of the few things I’m good at). The other feels really worried and insecure about the future. I don’t want to finish this comment on a downer so I’m just gonna say I hope things will keep going well for you in general and you get to fulfill new dreams and goals. And I hope I can make it too eventually.
