Saw this nice sizeable Tiger snake crossing the roadtoday, so stopped to take a peak. he was most obliging. It was on the steep ascent of the Gordon River Road just before the highest part of the road lookout.

Does anyone know what this quintet is called?
Not the blue devils

Very impressive drumming, but not the blue devils apparently
Healthy looking specimen
They are named, as suggested, the Melbourne Brass Ensemble, and date back many years - most of their work was probably pre-modern electronic. A google search using "Melbourne Brass Ensemble" (in quotes) will reveal a number of their works on LP records. You can pick up details of one of the members here: www.bobquintet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/QCGU-2012-Concert-2-Program.pdf
Yes, that much is obvious. I meant the work!!
This was a recording I had on cassette of a live performance of theirs back in the 80s/90s
Do the google search that I suggested, and you will find that one of the results is the album that this track came from. You should be able to pick up the track names from there. BTW, from memory, they were a quintet - hence the confusion in your question. In fact, if that is too difficult, try this, it has a list of the tracks on the recording. That plus the indication of the tracks that were performed by the MBQ should make your search relatively easy. I think that you can probably pick up the album from iTunes, as well.
trove.nla.gov.au/work/12038208?q&versionId=43213635 will show you that the Melbourne Brass Ensemble was indeed a Quintet. The other link will show you that none of the works on the recording is described as a quintet. Apologies accepted.
I own both the released albums of theirs and this isn't on either of them. As I said, this was a live performance off the radio.
Chris Barrie!
Vikki Chambers - hot, she was also Sally Waterman in Coronation Street
+pinkstrumpet Are you saying she was the ship's Cook and Hedgehog? Following on from previous, I thought you meant she was in Red Dwarf as well.
Yep that's her, ship's cook and concubine! I didn't know she was in Red Dwarf too. :-)
+pinkstrumpet She's not. That's my point.
I see, haha!
I second the question.
My guess would be Holly I, but I can't remember the episode
Trivia: Who was the other Red Dwarfer that appeared in a Young Ones episode?
Holly.
The male version (Norman Lovett), in the final episode
The man from the penny arcade across the street
omg...i hope this never makes it past 20 views.
Magic 03
hey these guys can put on a show, there is a lot of great things in here, sticks heights are great, tenors take the tempo set from the snares, the line's step sizes are consistent. you can feel the expression here too
hey these guys put on a show, there is a lot of great things in here, sticks heights are great, tenors take the tempo set from the snares, their step sizes are not real but consistent. you can feel the groove here
This is the 2003 Magic of Orlando line.
magic 03
Let's see...Innovative Percussion stick bags...Pearl drums...Black uniform undersuits...Ima go out on a limb and say this is either Spirit or Troopers
This is the James Logan High School drumline from Union City, California.. Not a DCI drumline..
This is Magic Of Orlando 2003. Magic 02 and 03 were the good years. Gino Hornlines and in 03 Gino and Mcnutt line cant get any better.
I know Magic was sponsored by vic-firth before they went under and since they're using IP bags I'm gonna say its not magic.
