obviously, a laptop's cpu temps would be much much higher as there is little to no cooling in them. I bet the temps in a PC would be 80-75

Sorry, but how to optimize my laptop? And is it important to turn off vsync? I use Rtx 3050 too, with 8gb ram...for my settings i turn off motion blur, volumetric fog, balanced resolution, and everything else medium or high...but it still stutters in gameplay or cutscene

@@yeumu yeah overall rtx 3050 is a lower end rtx gpu...the performance is almost the same like rtx 2050 in some scenarios

@@yeumu i would recommend to get the 40 series gpu tho...but rtx 3060/3070 is still decent for the next 2 or 3 years i guess

@Reyyz_23 I only play wuwa and glf2 planning to play ananta and endfield I want to get the 40 series tho for PC but I'm buying a laptop in case there's power outage so it's ok as long as wuwa and other games are smooth buying the laptop with RTX3050 for backup xD I still play mainly on PC

Okey i see, i actually had my gpu undervolted when im playing normally (no recording or stuff like that) but you can not undervolt ur cpu because i already try it and it doesn't work for i5 12500h unless its an unlock cpu type like the HX one. However i cannot tell you fully about undervolting cus its kinda complicated when im replying in comments like this, but i have a video that i recommend that may help you....

Oh yeah just a reminder my own undervolt settings for RTX 3050 is i turned it down to 900 mV from the default settings thats like more than -100 mV if i remember correctly

I watched this video yes and did everything accordingly, now the gpu seems to be managing the temps quite nicely now but prior to this my GPU usually stayed at around 80°c and there was a lot of fram drops whenever it did especially in mt firmament region. You mentioned you don't apply any kind undervolting during recording yes and you are playing in 4k then how come your device is managing to stay at 70-72°c -- it could be possible there is just less heat dissipation in my unit

It's quite hot in Australia for some reason and even with my cpu temperatures go beyond 90°c sometimes. Did this never happen to you and if it did how did you manage to rectify it

Pretty much yes, it still has some stuttering issue though but it's way better than version 1.0 when it got first released

@dirga5458 i suggest you should change the thermal paste,clean your laptop, and play in a cold room. But the best way to drop your gpu temperature instantly is to Undervolt it, so it uses less wattage for the same performance and lower temperature.

Have you tried restarting your laptop? And change the default nvidia setting from the control panel? I also recommend you scan for software issues,viruses,etc. Because i rarely get 100% usage on my laptop, and i have been using it for more than one year.

What do you mean by changing the default settings, bro? Can you tell me how to do that? As for any other issues like software problems, viruses, or whatnot, I don't have any of that crap on my laptop. The only game giving me grief is Wuthering Waves. The other games I play are running buttery smooth, no issues at all.

I'm not even playing it in 4K resolution like you are, I'm only running it at 1080p. Despite that, my GPU is still running at max capacity, and the game is laggy as hell.

Okey so....first of all you can change the Nvidia settings through the Nvidia control panel or you can open it on your system tray and choose the Nvidia control panel, if you are still confused you can search it on yt how to optimize Nvidia control settings. And I heard that wuthering waves have some performance issues with optizmiations and the game is still not perfect yet. It's an UE 4 title after all. Btw I didn't play the game in 4k resolution because if i actually play it in 4K my laptop would be soo cooked...in general 3050 are designed for 1080p gaming, but for some reason wuthering waves settings are just showing it is in 4k even though I'm playing it in 1080p.

Did u use the RTX 3050 fully? When i first bought this laptop, the performance wasn't great but after i updated the drivers and i picked the nvidia 3050 rtx for my main gpu in the nvidia control panel my laptop works like it should be

I get 90 fps at max setttings with fps unlock at rtx 3050 but using Asus ROG strix g15
