How did the Redmond products work for you? The sea salt 10 and the conditioner , thank you
@@Jma_901 amazing! We really loved using the Redmond products when we had the cattle and farm. Highly recommend!! In the summer we would mix Redmonds in fresh water and the cows would come running! They loved to drink it!
@ what changes were more noticeable in your cows? Thank you for sharing I’m just starting to use this products, Redmond conditioner with enticer and Redmond sea salt 10 in the water every other day…
@ we had problems with fescue foot and this helped tremendously with that issue in the cattle. We had another cow that always had weaker legs and she started consuming the Redmond and her lil “hop” as we called it went away. Watch this video of Tim here👉🏼 ua-cam.com/video/BVCIFh0jKXg/v-deo.htmlsi=CjFWPoK_UbHL8fQf he explains pretty well there what we did with our past and present management. We also have a short put together where you can see Tim putting the Redmond in the water and all the cows gathered around drinking out the stock tank.ua-cam.com/users/shortsG4eankYfSnU?si=qHIBv6x2l_j9aysI Happy to help! Nothing more exciting than another person excited and starting the journey of working with nature and cattle. We loved the Redmond in our cattle operation! We actually even drink Redmond rehydration for humans in our home. They have fantastic products!! God bless!

It is 6 times
@@miketracy9571 🤔 what is 6 times? And you’re now talking to Tims wife…because Tim has passed.
Had some good ribs yesterday and noticed a decent amount of bone marrow in them. I scraped a little and it tasted wonderful. Decided to not toss the bones and make my first broth soon. Thanks for the explanation! Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

I have 2 baby girls right now. I have dreams about a little dude. Nothing beats the love you receive from the girls but little dudes are what dad needs to pass on who he is. I cry thinking about how fast they grow. Stay strong and remember god has your back no matter what.

Thats cool, i have a sbc 350 that has been is a few configurations and it was in my big lifted 82 sauare body chevy in 93ish then a 76 nova SS in 96ish and now a 92 c1500 hot rod truck, it was punched out .030 in 90s and freshened up and a new Howards cam and more head porting in 08ish, its had 5 diffent cams, fireball 2, lunati 292 bracket master 2, crane sat night special, comp 292 magnum that went flat asap znd now a Howards 122036-08 it is the shiznit. But sadly it has run its course i dont wanna invest money in an engine that needs to go .060 over do its getting retired or tossed in a cheap beater someday that just needs something, it still funs strong but bore is worn bad n you can smell some oil burning but not really any consistent puffing.

what tool do you use to crimp the hog rings?
@@keiththompson2289 Hi..great question. Tim used these Spring Assist Hog Ring Pliers. He bought them at our local tractor supply at the time. They are designed to attach the hog rings to the fence making it less of a hassle. Should be able to find them at your local home improvement store..like Tractor supply where Tim got his.

@@MB-zj3er Thank you for your support and Kindness!! Much appreciated!! We appreciate you follow along with our journey. God Bless 🙏
Awesome fence bud! Excellent job. My question is how deep were your t posts. Now obviously I know that deeper is better, I'm just curious before I do 1,700 feet for my property
@@ryanderks7382 hi 👋 Tim was the man at putting on these educational videos! He recently passed away May of this year 2024. So I (his wife) will do my best to answer your question like Tim would have wanted. Cattle Panels are 48 inches tall. So generally you want your T-post to stand about 50 inches above the ground. You will want to drive your T-post into the ground anywhere from 16 inches to 24 inches deep. I believe Tim used 6 Foot tall T-Posts, which means he was driving the post into the ground about 22 inches. You may be able to get by with 5 & 1/2 foot tall T-post also. I hope this helps 🤞🏼Thank you for your kind comment and watching my husband do what made him happy 😃 God Bless!
Aww I'm so sorry about your loss.. Thank you for responding :)
I've never seen cattle panel fencing soo straight! Very nice work!!
@schretien8714 Thank you so much. Tim actually hooked the 4-wheeler up and pulled on each panel to make them get a little bit tighter.
@VanLeeuwenFamilyFarm Thank you & I send condolences to you, loved ones & all those who knew him. Take care!

This threw me off. I just got home from work, scrolled a couple shorts while trying to decide what i was gonna do today, and this popped up. Perfectly timed coincidence.

@@VanLeeuwenFamilyFarm yeah that's what did it.

How much water did you add? How much did you reduce it to?
Hi 👋 So my crock pot is a 2.5 Quart and I add my bones..ribs here but soup bones or whatever you have..add your 1 yellow onion, 4-6 stalks of diced celery, 2 tsp Sea Salt, 2 tsp black pepper, 2 Tbs Minced garlic all to the pot then fill completely to the top with water. Set the temp for low and let it cook overnight. No need to adjust the temp. Strain the bone broth the next morning, let cool, then store the “liquid gold” in a covered glass jar in the refrigerator.
The corn, ohhhhhh my stomach bubblin, Lord Have Mersayyyyy! Hahahaa
😂😂 Bless your lil heart. Corn does that sometimes to our Jason as well. Thanks for watching ♥️

Can’t wait till the internet sees this doozy
We just had a heifer and looks just pike that forst red one with wight
I bet your heifer is just the cutest little thing zooming around your place! That first red one with white on the face in the video is one we are saving back to our herd. We call her lil Kim. Excited to watch her grow and then bring her own calf up. Thank you for your comment and watching!!
put the jar closer or hold the jar, DO NOT WASTE PLIS!
My Jars come out of a hot canner so you can’t just hold them in your hand. Also it was so minimal the amount that dripped off onto the tea towel not a big deal. I’m constantly on the hustle as a full time mama of two feral boys that are homeschooled and running a farm.
@@VanLeeuwenFamilyFarm ok sory
The Rocky mountain oysters on this one!
We’re pretty proud of those Rocky Mountain Oysters. When we bought him at the Mushrush Red Angus Bull sale, he had the 2nd biggest scrotal circumference of all the bulls his age. Out of 100+ bulls. We knew we wanted to keep heifers out of him and his fertility EPD’s were some of the best in the breed.
You should feed them clean water!
Our water is clean fresh water. What you are seeing in the video is the Redmonds sea salt that was already added to the water prior to keep our cattle in good condition. The cattle love to drink it and it’s an excellent mineral to keep joints and foot problems at bay for the cattle. Check out this clip of the product actually being added to the water. ua-cam.com/users/shortsG4eankYfSnU?si=syl6wLcnVYCzzFRO You can purchase Redmond here 👉🏼 www.amazon.com/shop/vanleeuwenfamily/curation/2cb16bbe-c495-4ab7-b827-2c02ffdcf2a9?ref_=aip_sf_cur_spv_ofs_m
We do give them clean water. The water is that color because we mix Redmond Sea Salt and Redmond Conditioner in their water. It makes a mineral water mix that the cows love and gives them the natural minerals that they need. We have made other videos on how to do this if you want to check out our channel and search in the videos tab.
You need more acres
We own 96 acres which is enough at this point in our life. At one point, we had 200 acres in the Flinthills of Kansas. But we have since moved back to southeast Kansas, where we grew up and land is more expensive down here because we now have to compete with out-of-state hunters that just want land for recreation.
Umm where do I get that shirt lol 😂
We made it! 😉 thank you for finding the humor in this one as well 😂😂 We sell it on our website 👉🏼 vanleeuwenfamilyfarm.com/products/heifers-over-hussies-t-shirt?variant=46062464500031
I don’t understand, are you making fun of other channels that do funny farm videos?
162 videos on the channel.... must of found some time somewhere with all that real farming going on.
The majority of our videos are educational farm videos about Organic and Regenerative Farming and Ranching. And not all theses fake farming comedy reels(trying to sell you stuff) from people who are not actually doing any farm work.
When you own property and you have enough room to plant trees God bless you we need trees like crazy with all the fires and the floods we've had we've got to try and do our best to replant more trees. Thank you so much❤
Thank you!
Why did the other trees die?
Because there an invasive thorny tree (Locust Tree) that will take over your land and also they were in the way of the new trees that we were planting.
@@VanLeeuwenFamilyFarm oh that's a bummer. Thanks for answering! I always wonder when I see die off like that and hope the trees are just hibernating but invasive bugs make sense.
It’s actually not invasive bugs, but the Locust trees themselves are invasive. They can have thorns that are 3 to 4 inches long and they spread all across your land if you don’t keep them under control. The trees don’t currently have leaves on them because they are still dormant from the winter. Thanks for watching!
@@VanLeeuwenFamilyFarm Sorry I misread. And thanks for clarifying.
That blade is shot once it touches the dirt..
It was already dull. I need to sharpen it but haven’t had time and only needed to cut a handful of small trees anyways. I generally do not let it touch the dirt.
You deserve way more views. Subbed
Thank you for watching and subscribing!
keep at it man, your not crazy.
Thank you!
I hope to be able to buy one this fall. I'm really tired of hayrings and trying to unroll with the spear on the tractor. Great channel as well
It’s one of the most valuable pieces of equipment we have ever bought. We try not to spend too much money on equipment, but this thing will last a lifetime. Thank you for watching!
I think shes got an itch
Would it help to get weeds down to put some goats out there? I am so excited that more farms are using regenerative practices. God bless!
We are planning on getting some hair sheep in the next year or 2. They do eat grass but also eat leafy plants, bushes and some weeds but not all weeds. They are low maintenance animals but we need more infrastructure before getting started. It will be easier to manage the farm when we build our house on it next year. We are also planning on getting chickens as well. Thank you for watching! We hope the regenerative movement continues to spread across the country. God bless to you as well.
Good job.
Thank you very much!
