Wow! I just baked this today as shown in the recipe (only exception was the yeast which I used 2 packets of Active Dry yeast and bloomed the same way as in the video). It came out perfect! Amazing taste and texture. Got a great rise and a very light and fluffy crumb. My only comment would be to add a transcript of the directions along with the ingredients in the description, but the instructions are easy enough to follow. Thank you very much for sharing!!!

Has anyone tried to make the recipe? Every time i attempt it the dough comes out crumbly. She never says when to put the water in so i just assumed that it goes in with the milk and egg whites. It also feels like she uses way more than 110 grams of butter for the dough at least compared to what i have measured. Whenever i begin to mix it the dry ingredients just raise up on the sides of the bowl. If anyone has attempted to make it can you please advise what i should do. I am trying not to waste too many expenses ingredients.
Hi there! Milk is combined with water. You can see on the video milk is very deluded. For the dough, I used 110g soft good quality butter. Combine all ingredients slowly mix for 10 -12 minutes on low speed. For the lamination/ layers, I used 120g butter. Please let me know, if you have any more questions.
it was good but I think the 30g of yeast was a tad too much since I could evidently smell and taste the yeast flavor in the finished product I think 15g of yeast would have been better but overall the bread had a good texture

Why pancake mix or milk powder? What can i substitute that with? I don't like using processed foods so i always make my own homemade pancake mix with AP Flour and Baking powder, sea salt, organic fair trade sugar, ro wwater or 100% grass fed whole milk.
Hi there! I used pancake mix and milk powder for fluffy texture and better flavor of the bread. You can always substitute with plain organic flour.

Hello Victoria! Pancake mix creates extra flavor and more fluffy texture to the bread. You can always skip this step and use only bread flour.😉👍🏻

Hi Cherie. Yes, you can absolutely keep it overnight cream in the fridge. Highly recommend next day just before filling them up, again gently whipped the cream for 15-30 seconds to create fluffy consistency.

Hello! I would really love to try and make this for my birthday. Can you please tell me what plum butter is? I’m from Australia and here we only have plum jam. Is that the same thing? If not, what can I use instead? Thankyou.
Hi Susanna! I’m very happy you would like to make this dessert for your special occasion…This cake is really delicious! 😁👍🏻 Plum butter is sweet plum spread, much thicker consistency than regular jelly. I purchased mine from polish store, we call it ( POWIDŁO ZE ŚLIWEK) but you can find as well in any European stores or Amazon! For this recipe is not necessary to use the plum filling, I just made to create two different colors and flavors. If you can find the plum butter you can skip this step and create only Earl Grey cream. This dessert is beautifully rich with Earl Grey flavor. For the topping, yes I melted white chocolate using warm water, this step will not destroy your chocolate if you not add water inside the chocolate.
