Why did they send Ladder 231 when we already had truck 7, Eng 1 and Eng 2?
Marcus B. JrFF 2 because Havelock has a contract with the county and at the time ladder 231 had the jaws of life on it. When ever there is a wreck ems and rescue truck or ladder truck if manpower allowed it on the west end goes to the wreck in the county.

how come you have red and white
In our state we are allowed to have red, or red and white. White gets peoples attention and is much easier to see than red. I have the same dash light also red and white for that reason .

joe gilbert I’m some state volunteers can use sirens but we can’t, some states also let make them use blue
this is why we should be like the states where they run red and white and have sirens. we get green and hardly ever does anyone move over

Lucky7Firefighter I work at a saw shop that helps the Department with fixing the saws i keep them maintained the best i can plus we check the saws weekly checking the chain oil.

Richard clarke Nc state law allows lights but sirens are only legal for assistant and chiefs
