Those are some funny looking straight razors you have there Bill 😅 I've never shaved with SE razor before, they do seem like they are much easier to travel with than trying to use a DE setup. Still better than a cartridge razor I would think

That sure is a sweet looking razor, who is the maker and where do you find him at? Great shave Bill. I love that brush, unfortunately I just put together a 30mm boar. I still may pick one up.

The Feather SS/DX's are quite unforgiving but the Weck Sextoblade without the guard will cut you just by looking at it the wrong way! Trust me I've got the scars to prove it. 😆

Good points with restoration. They are definitely a labor of love. Some take a lot of work. But they do make a useful learning tool. But if you are just out to flip razors, then it is not a viable solution. They work for me because I do not mind the time it takes to fix them. Plus they are ignored by most of the flippers out there. So I can afford to get them. You will get a few that there is no hope, and all that is for them is the bin. But most of them can be salvaged. I am glad to see that someone else is willing to give the abused and neglected razors some love. :) Thanks for sharing Bill, and I hope that you are keeping well.

I have purchased several razors from Jarrod at thesuperiorshave, great vendor and is so knowledgeable when it comes to straight razors. I bought a 5/8 thiers issard back in 2015 and destroyed it trying to learn straight razor honing, I would do things so different now if I was starting over. I shaped the jasper to a 25' wheel on one side and kept the other side flat that was burnished to a mirror polish with a 2" wide chisel. Ancient ocean jasper are one of the hardest stones I've ever used. Great video as always

Best video yet bill lol. I absolutely loved the video even my family did. Really appreciate going over the razors i was really curious on what you thought about them jokers. The black and yellow ones i got from a yard sale from an older guy and he said it was his dads. He gave us a whole bag of them there must have been about 9 but those two were the only ones salvageable. I really like the black one cuz it does look different from any razor that I've seen but even my family said that the yellow one would probably be the best. Other than that im looking forward to see the outcome of them all.
