@@offthegridoverland4425 honestly for me it was word of mouth... The big ones are Ididaride, tour de San Felasco, Graham 360, Santos epic 50 and gone riding... Most happen earlier in the year... Some in south Florida happen in the summer.. Also go look at Facebook groups about mtb... Ur local area will post events.. Welcome to mtb

@@JPoppVlogs I would try Moses creek which is close to this trail... It's on the rooty side initially but smooths out... It really helped me in upping my cardio game and allowed me to learn how to take corners correctly... Mala isn't bad, as long as you stay on the blue trails... The black portion will take it out of you... Hanna in Jax is a good beginner trail as well..

Yup I did... I also ran a slightly lighter rear tire.... Dissector VS dhr2s... I set my bike up for rock creek, which we rode the day after, but it was a mistake, should've let it be...

@Bringinheat it's got some downhill both ways. Coming back there are a couple of kickers you can launch at speed.

Hey I'm interested in getting into biking! Is there any beginner bikes you would recommend? Looking to purchase something hybrid like your bike but not break the bank too much!

​@@sleepysoul8896too many variables... Start with the terrain you want to ride gravel or road and which would you ride most....? Gravel bikes (what I have) give u alot of versatility at the cost of nimbleless, lightness and speed of a road bike (I have road wheels on mine so it helps but will never be as quick or nimble as a dedicated road bike) ... Once u decide on the riding you want to do... I would direct you to the used market. Lots of great deals to be had given the bike industry is down... Good luck with your search... 🤙👍

I've been trying to find some affordable ones, and as I'm still pretty young; I don't want to spend over <$350 ish...which is why it's been hard trying to find a good bike that fits my needs. It would be greatly appreciated if you had some pointers for me!

Yea man.... Just when you thought they were over with... Another long stretch of mud and water was right around the corner to greet you... My shoes were completely soaked as well at the 6 mile mark.... And then again in the 42 mile mark with that deep creek crossing

Hahaha it's always the last one.... Happened to me at Beech Mountain as well... Very last run, right near the exit, I fell on some gravel and scratched up my bike... After all the gnarly shit I did all day long, loose gravel got me... 😂🤣

Lol bad ass.... Yea the trail was rougher than I remembered it to be..... That climb is no joke, my wife and I damn near passed out the first time we hit it cuz we were complete newbies and just started mtbing ... Now it's doable, given we have a few years of riding under our belt.... Appreciate you checking out the vid 🙏🤙

LOL you are soo right.. The GoPro makes everything look soo much tamer and smaller. It was our first time in Alafia, hands down one of the best trail systems in Florida. We will be back to ride those other trails you mentioned... So much to do there.
