When you think about it, Yugioh 5Ds did get a lot of inspiration from Gurren. One example is Z-One and his final fight. He is very similar to Anti-Spiral, in how he tries to halt the evolution of the green spinning force the series revolves around, as the evolution of it will lead to the apocalypse, Spiral Nemesis and Zero Reverse respectively. They also take the form of the protagonist(s), with Anti Spiral making the dark Tengen Toppa (I forgot the name) and also Z-One altering himself to resemble Yusei. They are even defeated the same way. All the allies of the protagonists give the power of their Ganmen/Synchro Dragons to the protagonist, which then all combine into the protagonists evolution, TTGL and Shooting Quasar. The villain defeats the super evolution form, only for it to successively transform into its weaker forms until it destroys the villain, TTGL releases SGGL, AGL GL and L like how Shooting Quasar floats into Shooting Star and then is used for Converging Wishes to summon Stardust Dragon. Hell, lots of the important characters line up as well Simon=Yusei Yoko=Aki Viral = Jack Gimi and Darry = Leo and Luna Kittan = Crow

Without getting too into it, this show was easily one of my favorites of all time and one of the few pieces of media that truly moved me as a person and so when I make the choice to hear a remix to one of my already favorite songs ever, the second I heard that first 10 seconds of heavy guitar I already knew this is going to be so amazing and it was so that I found my self crying listening to it all the way through and it has reminded me how much of an impact the show left on me
