elements (album trailer) - linus alberg
it’s been almost three months since my album ‚Elements' with eight of my favorite recordings and compositions of last winter has been released on moderna records and i’m really excited to share these news together with a little trailer for the album with you over here.
most of the pieces were written by improvising and experimenting with my piano during seasons full of change. at this time of the year i focused on existing elements that give me strength and expression and wanted to combine them with experimental elements and new influences.

the pieces are about individual stories of objects i found and collected, places i visited and experiences i've made in 2022 that became very important to me. by reinterpreting experienced, appearances, shapes and words into individual pieces of music they became new elements to experience.
for most of the pieces the centre element is my old felted upright, sometimes combined with soft sounds of a bass synth or layered with atmospheric phrases played on my pedal harmonium, some analog or digital synthesizers or the trumpet. special thanks to Matthias Lindermayr for playing and recording all of the trumpet elements for this album. very thankful for your help and beautiful work!

I just finished yours "living on a planet full of empty life", and now listening to this. Your music helps me shake off all the emotions after a hard day in work, stop, think, reconcile with yourself... And after a bit it releases all new sort of emotions, that's even hard to name... But they are simpler, more natural, more... humane? I don't know man, but I really enjoy your work, keep it going!
