I grew up in Knoxville and never heard about the 1916 storm. At least it never registered. But there are plenty of "experts" who are acutely aware of what is possible. It has become painfully apparent that 99% of the victims of this tragedy were taken completely by surprise. And I find that totally inexcusable.

Having your house by a river or stream is never a good idea, eventually it will FLOOD. I know of lots of people who have found out the hard way.

Hang on! It takes time and a lot of work to cope with post hurricane damage. Everyone do what you can for your neighbors. The people living in the community are often the first hands in a response. I speak from experience. As soon as it is safe to do so check on your neighbors to see if they are ok. BUT DON’T TAKE UNNECESSARY CHANCES. Safety first.

Thanks for the video. I use snaps and swivels on everything here in New Mexico. I catch trout, bass, pike, catfish and bluegill.

Trout are no different than other fish.ive caught them on big spinnerbaits while bass fishing.

you DO NOT GRAB the fish, I've seen countless videos of people catching fish and then manhandle the fish with their hands, for all of those fisherman and fisher women out there when you handle fish with your bare hands they get slimy, that slime is the fishes protective coating against parasites, fungal and infections, once removed it exposes the fish to the aforementioned, with potential death @ some point. A cure for this is either wet your hands prior to handling the fish, or handle it while in net with wet hands or still hooked in the water therefor reducing the removal of their slimy protective coating.......sorry for the rant, but somebody has to say it.

I try to do more trout fishing in the cooler months like now but we've had a lot of rain lately and the streams are muddy and the ones that have rocky bottoms are mostly clear but their a little ways away from home anyway i just want to say nice almost one week of catching and one more thing are there only browies in that river ?
