Hey, I'm Sam Heaton. I'm a freelance web designer, developer and search engine optimiser from England. When I'm not crunching code and wiggling my mouse I like to put together the odd video. My videos will vary but you can expect aerial photography videos, action camera videos, technology and gadget related videos.
Heaton Park, Manchester - Aerial Drone Footage! DJI Mavic Air
Heaton Park is a municipal park in Manchester, England, United Kingdom, covering an area of over 600 acres. The park includes the grounds of a Grade I listed, neoclassical 18th century country house, Heaton Hall. The hall, remodelled by James Wyatt in 1772, is now only open to the public on an occasional basis as a museum and events venue.
Captured with a DJI Mavic Air at 4K 30FPS on a slightly windy day. Fantastic footage of Hazlitt Wood Pond, Boating Lake, the Temple and Orangery buildings.

A day into our trip in Bulgaria we decided to go to Dryanovo a village close to Veliko Tarnovo. We found a swimming pool at the Kuklite hotel complex in Tsareva Livada and decided to have a bit of fun. Luckily I brought along my Yi 4K Action Camera and decided to put together a little video with the footage I had. Shot with Yi 4K Action Camera 4K 30fps and 1080p 4x. Edited using Final Cut Pro.

This bank holiday weekend along with my wife and parents we visited a beach close to home. We visited Formby beach in Southport, the weather was not ideal and the Phantom 3 struggled with some of the colours but overall it worked out OK. The Lyaskovets monastery is located in central Bulgaria close to the old capital Veliko Turnovo. The monastery is visible from the towns of Lyaskovets, Gorna Oryahovitsa and Veliko Tarnovo as it is located on a high rock close to the village of Arbanassi. Filmed over Rivington reservoir with the DJI Phantom 3 Standard at 2K 30fps. Flying conditions were extremely cold and for the first time I had to wait for the battery to warm up. Once it had warmed up it was smooth flying.

Do you have problems with the declaration or the licence to fly with the drone? How long it tooks until they said yes?
Fortunately for me, I have friends in the local municipality. I asked and I was told as long as I abide by the laws and that I don't fly to close or over people I will be fine. It is always a good idea to ask before flying to ensure you avoid any issues. I have flown several times in Bulgaria and I have been refused once. Happy flying!

@@samheaton9958 it is the best portable drone but battery time must be half of the phantom 3. /thanks for your kind words about my videos!
@@ortiko it is a fantastic drone. The battery life on my Phantom 3 was around 22 minutes which is about the same as what I get on the Mavic Air. I actually bought their bundle thing which came with three batteries so I've always got plenty of juice :)
Hi, Do you need permission to fly in such areas?
I will always ask before flying. Especially in parks like Heaton Park. Most parks are fine providing they are not in a do not fly zone or an event is taking place. I know Heaton Park bans flying in June for Parklife. Other parks will also ban flying for concerts, events, gatherings etc. When flying you want to avoid any crowded areas and keep the drone in your view at all times. Happy flying!

Hi Sam, didn't know you could fly drones at form by and ainsdale due to the raf cadet place nearby, I went last year and was told by life guard I couldn't, did you have any problems as I'd like to film the shipwreck on ainsdale
Hi Sigurd, Thanks for the comment. I was actually assisting on the day, I was with a film crew that was filming a music video. They had drafted me in to assist with their drone footage. I had a fly about and put together the footage. The team I was with obtained permission to film here so we didn't have any issues. Not sure if that helps? Thank you.
