Thank you for this video Abefe 1. To clarify, for dependent samples does it mean the samples have to be of equal sizes? Also i think there is a mistake from the screen pop up for alternative hypothesis, it is denoting it as H0 2. You said independent t-test is used when you can't satisfy the normal distribution but then again it is a parametric test(which are used for normal distribution) , can you help me clarify this

There is no connection between peak and tails. You can have infinitely peaked distributions with very light tails, and you can have low, flat-topped distributions with very high kurtosis. Examples of these distributions are given in the Wikipedia page.
