Part II Chapter 2 - Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky | Read Along Audiobook | Rolling Text
An audiobook of Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
DO NOT CLICK - bit.ly/3jlwNy6
Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1821 - 1881)
Translated by Constance Garnett (1861 - 1946)
Crime and Punishment is the second of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's full-length novels following his return from 5 years of exile in Siberia, and is considered the first great novel of his "mature" period of writing. The novel focuses on the mental anguish and moral dilemmas of Rodion Raskolnikov, an impoverished ex-student in St. Petersburg who formulates and executes a plan to kill an unscrupulous pawnbroker for her cash. Raskolnikov, in an attempt to defend his actions, argues that with the pawnbroker's money he can perform good deeds to counterbalance the crime while ridding the world of a vermin, and to test a theory of his that some people are naturally superior and have the right to commit crimes if it is in pursuit of a higher purpose. did you skip some parts im confused because the jump from part 1 chapter 1 to part 2 chapter is insane. i feel like im missing some context
I just ruined the book for myself. I watched the whole video in confusion, only to realize that I wasn't watching in order. I thought that for some reason i was on the right path because at the end of the first video, Raskolnikov goes to a tavern and drinks (resulting in him being drunk). So now in this video, i thought he woke up wasted, got up to check himself out in the mirror, and found blood stains (I thought this was done on purpose.). so yeah, I'm thoroughly upset at myself :((((
Thanks guy this carried me through English
Thank you!! I’m doing this book in school and as much as I love reading I’d know I’d struggle with paying attention with this book LOL
Thank you!
Bros reign was bigger than his n amber
not the bot voice💀
Thank you bro for this book ❤️❤️
Weird. Even more weird if you watch it rather than just listen... 🫤
This is amazing!!! I am so happy to find this! I have three books in this series. I cherish them.
Are you going to post part 2?? 🙏🏻
i have to make a chapter for this book abot holden going on vaction thiswill be chapter 27 and i have to make it the same still as the authour and it has to be 600 words whats your suggestionthat could help me
Your a real one bro I wouldn’t have been able to get through this far into the book with your videos thanks a lot bro
Real this book sucks and I have to read it for school
I bought this book at Urban Outfitters in 1992 when I was 11 years old. No matter how many times I read it, I don’t think I ever really understood it…one thing’s for sure though: I never forgot it😊 Very cool to find this video 😊
Your a real life saver bro
fr
Fr though he saved all of us
i don’t have the book but thankfully i found this and could never find something as high quality as this
I love this so much! Thank you❤ Nick’s work has inspired me for 20 years! I’m in my pottery phase for the last couple years and I’m obsessed with postage and stamps and exotic locales too. I’m constantly working to make beautiful mugs and bowls that look strange and interesting ❤
Who are the voices in Griffin and Sabine? The female sounds like Isabella Rossellni 😊
It is. And Griffin is performed by Paul McGann. This is basically a recording of the very cool interactive CD-ROM _Ceremony of Innocence_ (I had a copy and it was amazing). For the third book, a third character is introduced (I don't want to spoil you if you haven't read it) and it's Ben Kingsley. Anyway, I really wish they could port it over into an iOS app. It would be perfect for a tablet. There was an actual audiobook (books on cassette tape) with Griffin performed by Maxwell Caulfield (Grease 2) and Sabine is Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation). Third character... also is Ben Kingsley.
Came here to say the same thing 😊When Sabine reads, I hear Death Becomes Her 😊
AI reader...The intonation is very strange.
This is so very cool!
Crazy yap session
This summarises the entire book
@@eliassoukrati7158 no duh it is the book

Thank you
Lol thanks
Thanks for sharing!
saving my life rn
I love this. Thank you.

FIVE PEOPLE HAVE BROUGHT UP "FIGHT CLUB" THIS WEEK IN SALEM OREGON. TO ME THE PLOT LINE OF FIGHT CLUB FEELS LIKE GRIFFIN & SABINE. A BOOK I WAS INTRODUCED TO WHILE WORKING FOR "ANNA WINTOUR" AT V. CLAIR IN THE HEATHMAN PIUB ACROSS FROM A SCIENTOLOGY OUTLET, UP FROM COFFEE PEOPLE AND TACO DEL MAR. I call her Anna Wintour because if my memory serves me ell they looked alike. She was married to a banker lived in the West Hills of Portland and served me my first Tiramisù desert. The girls asked if I had a lover in every port I did not realize at the time they were taking about Fassbinder's QUERELLE AUDREY, LIBBY AND ? THE PAPER REVIEW IN THE OREGONIAN WAS OF DELICATESSEN THE FRENCH FILM.
This is the weirdest and most intriguing comment I’ve seen on UA-cam 😊 congratulations and thank you for the mindbender ❤🙏
I just noticed that Griffin's letters contain dates whereas Sabine's letters does not indicate the date. I have a weird theory that they might be communicating through different timelines
Oh please please please.. I wish there's an audio book for the morning star trilogy 😢
God I hate this book Or maybe just the person analyzing every single word, breath, thought, name, and typo on the page and making me write what they're thinking
You’re a phony and all
This really helped me out. Too tired to read it on my own, but these got me through the 4 chapters I needed
What happens if I click on the "DO NOT CLICK" link?
you may try to find out he he he :)
What the hell? Is this the 10th Chapter of one of the boring pieces of shit fiction ever written? YES! How is this book popular for several decades and why do so many people still believe that it’s a classic? I can tell you with all confidence and certainty, that in my youth I experienced dozens of life altering moments that make CITR seem like The Happy Journey to Trenton to and Camden.(look it up) JD Salinger? Thornton Wilder? Damn ! You guys hit the BORING meter with a croquet mallet made of marshmallows.
@@adamexenvironmental4468 Yeah lmao, I also found it boring asf. I just had to read it for school so I listened to it instead.
Thank you very much my friend!
I love this book!
