K9 Muzzle Fighting
Whether for your personal protection dog, sport dog or Police K9 it is important to integrate and proof muzzle work in different scenarios. Progressively show your dog as many pictures as possible to proof your muzzle fighting. From passive engagements to searching exercises and trial scenarios you should show your dog a variety of pictures. Muzzle work is one way to increase scenario training options and to remove a dependence on visual equipment. More tools in your training toolbox equal more effective deployments and a better chance success in whatever arena you train for.

Ten bucks says Kai could solve a Rubik's Cube
I somehow stumbled across a PSA video on a different channel, and now I'm binge-watching Kai videos. He's so much fun to watch that I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he's a Shetland Pony-sized goofball on his downtime (I hope that's not an insulting thing to say about a sport dog). What an absolutely brilliant dog.
He bites perp for a living. Versatile pup! :-)
His tail is wagging the entire time! He's having a hoot! Just incredible.
For the protection work, can you tell me why the dogs are taught to bight the arm that doesn't not hold the weapon? In a real world confrontation, could that not result in the dog getting shot or stabbed if it goes for say the left arm when the right hand is holding the knife or gun?

So many distractions going on in K9 Kai's immediate area, his head on a constant swivel, yet focused and making very good decisions - a commendation to his handler! The dedication of training for the success of these incredible animals is clear, a testament of man's genuine love for his dog... it's a beautiful thing!

I don't think I've ever seen a K9 go for the leg and not the arm or shoulder. Interesting.
This is very common in PSA and ring sport. Primary targeting for this dog is the leg with secondary targeting being the arms.

No wonder only 32 dogs are PSA3 titled. It's way too demanding for dogs. And not every breed could do this 😵 It's a malinois, Dutch shepherd, german shepherd sport.
Some day I would LOVE to see a trial in person. The training level is out of this world.
