Taking Down a 200 Year Old Giant Oak Tree
I know that’s my dad
Beautiful tree!!!!! I didn't have to hold my breath on this one!!!!
Don’t cut without your lanyard! Always 100 percent tied in before cut! Nice saw tho!!
Great advice. The lifeline is attached overhead. The flip line is the second safety line.
God bless you brother. You got the job done I'm sure. You're worth more than? Words can not say.
Swinging in the tree!!!! You can slip or something!!! I literally hold my breath!!!!
They do
Agreed. I love climbing with electric saws.
Thank god for your guy!!! You terrify me
Please!! Why do you chance this?? Jesus!!!
In this case, we were messing around to try out some equipment. Technically we didn't need to, but we wanted to 😁
Which part is scary for you?
Please be careful!!!!
I'll show you who is an old man!!!
Ah, 😂🤣😂. I should have done a better job of keeping track of some of the other silliness. But this seemed like a good end of year video.
@LumberJoe-x2q i want to see the parts where we jump out of the tree and fall 5 ft
Don’t you dare get in on those Geckos. 😂😂
😂🤣😂 too sharp can be a problem.
Thats a huge tree
Get to the top take a 4 minute nappy
Go back home and take care of yourself Jesus!!!!
No can do... gotta pay the bills.
You're right!!! But you always have a partner to watch out for you??
Please don't make any mistakes cause you're sick!!!
Some questionable decisions were made in the Oak Job, but slow and steady worked here.
Did you see that hesitation just before he let go of the choked lanyard??? Scardy cat!
This should have been a montage of a bunch of cuts from different jobs with different electric saws
That's a good idea.
@LumberJoe-x2q re-do?
You sound exhausted!!! Be careful please!!¡¡!!
Hope you bought lunch for your groundie for that one
For those that don't know... Oak is a tough species of wood.
You know you can thumb the safety button after the trigger lockout's been depressed, right? Also, no 1/4"P for me. Duromatic (Carbide) chains aren't available in a 1/4" pitch. That's what kept me (along with the questionable ergonomics) away from the MSA 161T. There's nothing wrong with having options though, as long as they introduced an alternative sprocket.
Lame!
Too much talking? Too long?
@@LumberJoe-x2q camera man not close enough for most of the video
I shortened it. Hopefully you will like it better now.
Wussy! Why didn't you climb that. You being in danger is half the fun of watching. Nice saw though you mother bucker!!!
The lanyard was NOT attached on this peal specifically for that reason. Joe would have been hugged to death by that limb
I saw a video of a guy peel a big limb like that while attached and he got the whole weight slammed against his pelvis and family jewels🙃
Those videos help me remember. They look painful as hell, so hopefully you'll never see us post one.
I had to have it happen to me before I figured it out. It's scary and unpleasant when it did happen
An actual use for these dumb battery toys. Good job.
😂🤣😂 They are great for climbing.
That electric husqy is doing some nice work👌🏼👌🏼
Absolutely! It's a great saw.
thats a one way ticket to meet god lol
Only if you forget to take your lanyard off!!
The lifeline is still attached to the other part of the tree.
I absolutely love your work!!!
Thank you. We will keep putting it out there.
I ain’t gonna lie that tree didn’t look like it was ever gonna peel😂
Why would it need an undercut when he was holding it?!
Horrible job...hate to be your groundie
Just make sure you are wearing your hard hat
I'd hate to be your climber. 😂 Every groundie that's never worn gaffs always knows best😂
@@DoogieHoosier i climbed for four years and the owner paid numerous fines to have me up that tree cause my work was better than his hahahahaa
That’s a wish cut right there carefully with them you only get but some many of them and then you get fucked up
REALLY!!! on this one?! It seemed pretty straightforward to me.
Rofl!! He pinched wendy!?
I knew you would like this one 😂🤣😂. Silly Mitch
My neighbor Greg used a de*d ass branch. 😢
I used a lifeline to pull a 90 foot pine down between a house and another 100 foot pine. With a truck as well. Got paid just the same lol
@@tylercieszenski9624 hahaha. Get er done.
Did you look at Echo? Great gas saws often overlooked imho however not sure on their electrics. Back when I was on lawn crews we had echo trimmers and blowers and those things would take tumbles off trailers, neglected maintenance, get thrown around and it was amazing how those things still somehow functioned. I have an Echo CS-355T and that’s like swinging a mini light saber in the tree…lol
@@bto52_ I keep reading great things about the Echo Timberwolf. I will definitely look at these for my next saw. -Lancer
I hope some of you find this helpful. And I'm sure some of you will have some suggestions, so let us know what we should add to the kit.
That was one hell of a drop test at the end slam onto his life line, dam ground guys!!!lolol :)
But you know what they say, safety third. We actually felt like it made sense to do some of those drop tests. Testing out our gear and a safe place, relatively speaking, felt like a good idea.
I like petzl but Ive seen alot of the cheap amazon chinese ones hold up past their rating its pretty cool! DMM are the smoothest Ive ever used.
Check out the double dragon great knot and Im a bowline guy.You cant beat the double fishermans for connecting two ropes together tho..the rope will break before the knot.
I ordered one today the one with the rope bridge Im gunna back up that bridge with some 8mm rope and back up the O rings with 5/16 quick links lol just for more confidence as Ill be dropping down into old coal mine shafts lolol :)
I clicked on your channel and I see that you're into caving. Seems like a pretty great time, and you would want things to fail then.
Chestnut oak?
Based on where we live probably not, but I am not certain what kind of oak it is.
@LumberJoe-x2q it was a bur or pin oak
For those that don't know. Joe is also hooked in with a steel core flip line. And thank you for the comments because, we all know we shouldn't be doing this stuff, but sometimes people take the shortcut.
Being stupidly safe😂😂😂
I could watch you forever!!!
Awe shucks....
Stuff like that infuriates me lol We cut down and trim a lot of mulberry down here and nothing ever hits the ground unless we pull with a tagline
Oak is especially bad up here in mn. It just grabs everything it can...even clothing.
The machine!
MAN GLITTER EVERYWHERE!! In your ears, in your pockets, even in your bellybutton!?
hypocritical phrase lol
You forgot your minds... and glasses! Lol
