CYC X1 Pro Gen2 BAC855 BB92 Taking my duck for a ride with a 72V Cyc X1 Pro Gen 2, limited at 2700W June 28: BAC855 controller failed. July 14: Replaced under warranty from CYC motor. Sold
dawg got on that duck for spool
@Tburger How do you compare it to cyc x1 pro gen 2 asi bac 855 (your previous build) in terms off torque and topspeed? I'm thinking of converting to the same build.. what's the total cost of the project and as it hard to install? kind regards
Coool
Is 72v but not 60A capabilities
what that yellow thing charging?
The duck provides the 72V current to the motor 🤣
More videos this bike,please !
This motor has been sold :(
What’s the top speed with a small block LR motor? I’m looking to build something close to the power and speed of a stock SurRon without overheating. Thank you! 🙏
Hi mate, I didn't get a top speed, but the most I went was 80km/hr but it could definitely go faster. I was running an ebike chain so I didn't want to exceed that speed. If you want more heat sustainability, I'd still suggest opting for the larger variant since heat will disappate faster. Running it close to 6KW will give you something close to a stock surron ua-cam.com/video/G3cqPAZBKhw/v-deo.html Check out HV's sur ron, he's running one of the larger motor of the LR.
@@EVburger thank you for the response! Yes, I love the HIGHVOLTAGE crew! They’re so responsive and helpful! I Rachel out to you because you were the first person I had seen with the small block instead of the large block :-) I was also curious about the small block bc the maker of lightning Rod motors (Michael) told me they’re as quiet as a bbshd motor. Which I figure is a bit of a stretch, but definitely made me want to stick to the smaller motor of the big block was actually louder. Thank you again for replying! 80+kph is amazing! So I assume 6000 watts is the peak not nominal. Good to know! Thank you 🙏
@@dexgray4581 Exciting, best of luck on your build! :) I definitely recommend the HV crew, they have amazing support I found the primary chain to make the most noise on the SB, and with higher RPMs the louder it gets. I'd recommend a belt primary drive if sound is something you're concerned with
I didnt realise we could have these on the road in Vic now. Can it keep up on faster roads?80-100km/hr? What kind of range do you get commuting with it? I assume you are going to work in the vid?
Yes, they have the road legal ones in Vic since last year No, unfortunately the stock Surron can't reach those speeds. Range is around 70km while driving in traffic Check out some 72V Surrons vids on youtube- they can reach those speeds, but they are expensive. There's also a Sur ron Ultra bee coming out this year, which can do 90km/h stock and is up for presale in Melb
@@EVburger Thanks for the reply!
You drive in wrong way 😂
What range would I get running 52v 21amp battery
D+ 😃
What type of bike did you put the motor kit on ?
It's a full carbon frame, its a Polygon C5
How do I get that spinning gadget ?
Search in eBay "cycling bike bell duck"
Range?
Range at 72V with 20AH was roughly 60km, using only throttle
Too noisy I rather a hub motor
ok thank you
We’re in aus do you live?
How is the torque sensor on this unit?
Torque sensor works really well, you're also able to adjust the responsiveness via the app. If you get an X1 pro gen 2, get ready for many warranty claims haha
@@EVburger really I was thinking about getn one they worth it just sold my bbshd kina regretting
Mostly throttle only set up. Not really an e bicycle.
There is PAS on this setup, but at 2000W your cadence is spinning faster than your feet can keep up. If you want to pedal with the bike I'd suggest motors with less than 1500w
Would you let me know what type and brand of BMS (what Amps) did you use in your battery pack? Does it bluetooth capabilities?
Thank you for your recent reply, Is it possible to instal Lightning Rods Big Block Single stage HR mid drive motor with BAC2000 controller on a road or mountain bicycle?
Yes it's possible to mount a single stage mid drive kit to a road or mountain bike, reach out to Mike via his website. He will fit bottom brackets from ranges of 68-120mm lightning-rods10.mybigcommerce.com/

How would be the combination of CYC X1 Pro Gen 2 with BAC2000 controller and a 72V 25-30AH for more speed and power?
people report 1000 times better results with BAC2000. still plenty of cut offs and things like that but so much better than BAC855. (I am not saying this to blame or comment on Tburger...) I think it only makes sense to run it with BAC2000. truth to be told, CYC has never been and will be the most reliable construction but if you are reasonable and look at the temps u should be fairly safe. (bulletproof bafang bbshd up to 4kW) my personal experience only goes till purchase and after-purchase support which is 5 stars with CYC. I can't say a bad word. I am sure it is a diff story when you tell them that their product blew up :D but still, I would expect them to be decent enough to help resolve your issue by either purchasing a replacement or providing a warranty.
the torque is 100Nm more peak on the gen 2
Does CYC X1 Pro Gen 2 a good quality motor?
No, this is plastic motor.
What battery and controller are you using?
72V 19.5AH 60A constant battery and using a BAC855 controller
@@EVburger damn, not even the more powerful controller :o
@@EVburger this will make u laugh... I bought a CYC gen 2 with BAC2000... I did not even start building the CYC, I went on the lightningrod XD. my big block with a quilbix swing arm fitting is already on its way to me :D
@@songoku7100 Why didn't you build the CYC? Excellent purchase on the LR, you need to show us vids when its installed. CYC has stopped responding after I've sent them a video of the motor not working, not impressed :( Since then made an order for the single stage small block with a BAC2000 from HV... keep you posted!
@@EVburger I bought the CYC as a bafang bbshd upgrade... as the days were passing before the build, I realized that there is no point going up by couples 1000W a time... (I had my bafang tuned to 3650W, CYC does 5500W on paper........) I was still very keen to use a mid drive as I strongly believe that is the way forward, not hub motors... so then saw LR and fell in love. :D I have got the big block 10kW and my BAC2000 just been posted to Greg at HV to re-program to run the LR. I still plan to use CYC as I really like the look and I think if you are reasonable with it, it might last a bit longer. I plan to run it with my phaserunner at around 4-4,5kW on a bicycle frame. That should be plenty... then I will have my quilbix frame with the 10kW LR. Definitely, I will share pictures... videos etc... are you on HV discord? if not, come and join. full of absolutely lovely people!!
