Jonathan, your video of Pure Imagination at NAMM five or so years ago popped up on my feed yesterday and I also watched the interview you did with the woman who may have been its chief executive. That’s how I learned you went to Williams and were an English major. Running across this one at Opelika was a bit of a coincidence. I worked at Auburn University in the late 90’s and often went to the shows at the Performing Arts Center, which was also the Opelika High School auditorium. I saw Michael Feinstein there with a big orchestra. A great night!

Fabulous. Such fun you’re having! On a non-musical note, what made you choose English as a major? Does it help at all in your current work? (I, too, was an English major graduating 53 years ago and defaulted into law.) I love all kinds of music, but especially jazz and classical.

This is a great rendition, tasteful, gorgeous. The NAMM version blew my socks off! You grew into it and it shows at the 2019 NAMM. Curious what you are doing with it today. It is such a fertile chart due to its very unique chord progression.
