I REALLY love her take on Regina. In the songs AND the speaking portions she makes some VERY intelligent acting choices. The WAY she sings certain words or phrases or delivers spoken lines was VERY well done. Obviously she put a LOT of thought into the role. She should’ve gotten more opportunities to play Regina. Maybe the tour or another Broadway replacement of Broadway hadn't shut down.

I'm a vocal coach in the UK who trains celebrities, theatre actors and singers as well as uni students. This is good! Pitch is spot on. However, this is far too clinical - The diction is used to the point of it sounding way over practiced... It almost sounds patronising as if the words are over pronounced. It sounds fake and robotic. Liz Callaway does not over perfect her performance. She mixes it up slightly! No one should sing with such strong diction like in this footage. It would be beautiful if there were a balance of character and imperfection in this with diction as well as the singer's personal imput. You become a true singer when you slightly include your own style and venture away from how its "meant to be done". You will be on a shit conveyor belt singer who does not get further. This has been so overly "perfected" to the point where no one can RELATE to it. You need to have a small individuality to your tone and have a slight element of carelessness to your performance. Please take this advice 🙏😊 Robot/perfection voices only get so far. If you want to be further... Forget "perfect diction" and overly doing yourself. You need to relate the character to YOU. Then the realism comes out. Again you're a wonderful singer 🎶😊🙏 But my gosh, put these on the back burner --- the strict robot, diction and pronunciation vibe. Find how you relate your heart to this. Big hugs 🙏✨🎶😊
