You're welcome! Have a great day too.
Thank you for explaining about all the isolation valves and doing so well.
Glad to help!
Whew! Thank you!
Glad you found it helpful!
I thought Virtual Solar Sync was a new system that takes place of a "physical" solar sync. There are no sensors like in the past - it uses forecasts instead.
Hunter released virtual solar sync in 2015. The time based schedule is, in our opinion, the best option due to some of our customers experiencing high water bills. It relies on a remote weather station to adjust your system and can potentially be inaccurate due to its inability to account for specific site conditions.
great video
Thank you!
hi thanks for your video.how can I set the zones run at same time?not one followed by another?
You cannot run multiple zones concurrent with eachother. The sprinkler system would not function properly. You can only run 1 zone at a time.
Dry nicely explained Thank you for putting this video Very helpful indeed!!
Please make an updated video with the new app. I figured out how to set the interval to 3 times a day, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to set the individual times for the three times. It looks much easier to do in your version. Helllllllp.
We will get an updated video going over the new version of the hydrawise app out ASAP.
I’ve watched 6 videos on how to adjust this Hunter sprinkler head. This is by far the best explanation- clear, brief but fully explanatory. Thank you!
Glad it helped
agree
This is the best tutorial!
Thank you for this!
Glad it was helpful!
Was becoming confused regarding zones. Only 4, but then we have individual stations could be several more.. you kept saying “zones” but it should be called stations. Is that correct?
@@ellac2263 Areas, zones, stations, sections. There are many different ways people say it, but they mean the same thing.
Appreciate your efforts, but you need to keep it short and simple, too much details and unnecessarily talking is dragging the video and making it boring. I have fast forward 10 times to come to the point. And please fix your device properly on the wall that's another annoying thing while you are actually recording this to benefit other people and you can't even remember the date and time.
How do you make the stream either longer or wider?
If you are looking at the top of the rotor, there will be an arrow that will show you the direction of spray. Insert the Allen side of the adjustment key into the arrow until you feel it seat into the screw. From there, clockwise will fan out the spray while counterclockwise will make the stream tighter and shoot farther. Hopes this helps, and thank you for watching our videos!!
Why didn’t I find this video years ago😤
We're glad you're here!
The key here is that the zones can’t run at the same time. They run one after another even on the same start time. This was very helpful because nowhere in the manual does it explain this and I couldn’t figure out why my 2nd zone wasn’t turning on. It just has to wait for the first zone to finish watering. Thank you!
Just learned this myself. What a crappy instruction manual. Also can’t pop off the piece for the battery backup, and the knob doesn’t always update the display.
that moment when you set it to start at 3a and you still see it going at 9a... that it's not zone start time, but actual system start time...
All my damn plants die couldn't figure out why the other zone wasn't working
Can someone recommend a surge protector? Thanks
do you not have the problem of the dripline constantly bursting at the barb fittings? Every time I replace a stretch of line, the dripline breaks at the couplings within two weeks.
1 of 2 things it may be. Most common, if it is "breaking", then it is probably a critter chewing through the fitting to get to the water. 2nd issue may be there is no pressure regulator on the zone. This would not cause the fitting to break, but rather to pop out repeatedly. These zones need to be set to 40PSI to prevent disconnecting.
@@thriveos The fitting isn't breaking, nor is it popping out. I have 40 PSI regulators on all my zones. What's happening is that the tubing is cracking just a tiny bit at some of the fittings, much like you'd expect it to do after drying out for years in the sun, except this is after two weeks of use. 🤷♂
@@peterkuebler8284 What brand is the tubing and where are you purchasing it?
@@thriveos It is Hunter HDL. I'm getting it from the nearest Aqua-flo supply store.
Great video i had been dealing with my system for awhile. it keep turning on all 4 zones on repeatedly and now i see why. i had set 4 different start times 30 mins apart from each other , thank you for this informative video
This is a very common mistake. Glad we could help!
What does the hand icon mean
THE PREVIOUS VIDEO I WATCHED WAS USELESS AND I POSTED THIS VIDEO TO WATCH WHICH EXPLAINED IT WELL!
Thank you for the tutorial!
thank you sir - i needed this one today👍👍👍👍👍
No explanation on the bypass…
Apologies for the delay. The bypass switch is to bypass your rain and freeze sensor. To keep it simple, if you set the switch to bypass, it will ignore what the rain sensor tells it to do if you have one installed. If the sensor gets wet and tells the controller to prevent watering, and the switch is in bypass, it will ignore the sensor. Hope that helps.
Best simplest instructions by far! Thank you!
Best video on this dang thing I’ve seen! Thank you!!!!!!
Wow! I needed this more than anything. Thanks for thorough and detail video. Very much appreciated.
Glad we were able to help. Many more tutorials are coming to the channel. Stay tuned!
What is the Sensor bypass used for?
The sensor bypass switch is used to bypass any information the sensor is sending to the controller. This only affects you if you have a working rain/freeze sensor connected to your controller. If the switch is active, then it will do what the sensor tells it to do. If it is in bypass, then it will bypass the sensor.
Listen…I’ve fought with this thing for days now so THANK YOU for being so thorough with this video!
Ours runs the 4 zones that we have programmed, and then it starts over again. I don’t understand. Program B and C say 0 for time. It doesn’t make any sense.
Thank you so much. Was very informative.
Absolutely. Glad to help!
Excellent explanation.
I know this is a bit late but I just wanna say thanks for the great video.
Found it! I appreciate you!
Thanks. Video helped me start. But, i am still a bit lost. Let me explain. I have 4 zones. All set and running as i want but i want zone one to run twice a day. The other 3 zones just once a day every second day. How do i set this up. Its out of my brains league. I mean how does the following sentence make sense... I have a 6 zone programer, each zone can start 4 up to four times a day and i have three programmes per @#😮😅&"** . Please help. 😂😂😂
You can do this by putting all of the zones that you want to run once a day every second day on program A and leave off the 1 zone that will run different. Once you've set the start times, run times, and water days for those 3 zones on program A, then you will switch to Program B and set the 1 zone twice a day on whatever days you want. Make sure you calculate what time your program A will start and stop so that whatever time you start and stop your 1 zone, it doesn't overlap with your other program run times. Hope that helps.
Thanks for taking the time to explain it in a simple way
Thank you for the feedback!
Hi I turned off my hunter x core unit last year winter tim,but when I turned it on summer time it lost preprogrammed days so I followed your helpful video to run Tuesday and Saturday which it does do,but the front yard 3 zones come on all other days of the week when I've set them off.I've tried the reset button on side of unit and held down program button and right side arrow but now front and rear zones are coming on everyday can you please help me thank you in advance.
Go to "water days" and check programs B and C. There is a high chance you have days set for the other programs. Watch the video again to see how to check different programs.
@@thriveos omg! You were correct it had B & C with run minutes so I turned B & C off and now have just A running the 6 stations on set minutes watering days set for Tuesday & Saturday.I will check tomorrow Friday hopefully shouldn't come on and should come on Saturday. The previous home owners must of had it set A,B,C its been doing my head in lol thank you so much, much appreciated from Perth Australia 🇦🇺 🙌👍🙂
Also I have a wireless rain sensor so I'm guessing if the sprinklers come on while it's raining they would automatically turn off would I be correct? Oh! And the hunter x core unit looks hard wired as its not plugged into power socket.Just wondering that battery in the Hunter unit 2032 battery I think is that to run rain sensor or the hunter unit? Unit is running fine but I'll probably replace that battery not sure how old it is and I guess will have to reset unit again thank you again in advance
Nice. Great video. My system was coming on at all times of the night. Now I've got it right. Thank you
Thank you so much bro ! So what if I want to set my zone 1 ( front grass) to 10 minutes at 4:00am and 30 minutes around 7:30pm in the same day ? Can I do that ??
Bro, can we start a club for confused xcore owners.
I think you would then program your second run time under program B, like a second schedule?
Truly appreciated
Excellent tutorial! Thanks!
Thanks for this, it really helped. Clear and easy to understand
Brilliant. Huge thanks for this tutorial from Western Australia 👍
