Q-Bomb Box Install F350 SUPERDUTY 2012 12tw3 JL Audio 1000 watt amp 2.2 FARAD Cap. I wanted to show what it takes to put one of these in. the total install was about a day. If i had everything the first time I attempted then this would take 4 to 5 hrs. I did this in two Saturday mornings. I also installed an amp level control at the control center in the dash so i can adjust the kick from the s...

We installed a Mitsubishi Single Zone system for this customer and we upgraded his electrical panel. The unit is the Hyper Heat Unit with I-See Sensor technology. These units are made to heat homes in sub zero temps. Amazing Machines!
How did you wire the amp?
Awesome install!! This video is very helpful with all the shots of the installation. Great work!
Is the rear sliding window sill functional? Previous owner before me took it all the way out for their system so wanted to see if it would work if I put one back in.
Clean setup 👍🏾 Keep.up the great work
Will this set up work on a 2014 F-250 ?
Yes
Tried a box like this. My seats are so close to the woofers there's no space for the woofers to flex in and out.
What you end up doing
😍👍👍❗
I'm looking at putting some seat extenders to push the seat at least 2 inches forward
Nicely done
You should make a video with every detailed how you put the wires together to subwoofer
Wire the voice coil 1 to voice coil 2, then each sun on their own channel on the mono amp.
That’s to drop them each to 2ohms each. If your amp is 1ohm stable then wire bith subs after you put them in parallel then parallel the 2 subs into 1 ch.
Two 8s would have been better
But did you furted in him house?
You could have gained a couple inches by flipping your seat brackets around and it would move the seat forward some
Wait can u explain more to that I’m currently doing it what brackets would I have to flip around? Thank you
@@damiansamuell5907did u figure that out bc same lmao
I wish he would answer. Theres about 3 questions here that I'd love to know the answers also
ICON2010SS they sound great. I don’t run these extremely hard. If you are looking for high spl this isn’t for you, if overall great sound is your goal you will be happy. I went with 12 inch because I like lower frequency sounds.
Jaw deep is the box for the sub
By any chance you have a video of the sound? I have the same subs and fixing to get the same box etc. but would like to get someone’s input about how well they sound etc. thanks bud
That box will sound like shit
No mames que cagadero traen los griegos es sus carros, se lo lavo por 100 dolares 1:32
Hows the quality of sound worth the hassle?
Where did you get your box made or where did you get it from?
David Antonio I got it on eBay for 130 bucks delivered.
Does it fit a crewcab with no sliding rear window?
David Antonio they make them for all applications.
I have a 2015 f350 crew cab. I been trying to install the same setup but. The audio installers says their’s not enough air space for. Those 12 w3s I’m curious how’s it sound and if the speakers are still working good
Bob Marks they sound great and haven’t had an issue since install, the polyfill is important so the speakers reacts like it has more airspace.
Bob Marks yes they are! I’ve had them in for a while now no complaints. The point of the poly fill is to make the speaker act as if it has more air space. If you are trying to win spl comps I wouldn’t recommend this. I run about 400w rms to each speaker. Have low pass filters @20hz and high pass @50hz and the sound is incredible. This box can sound a bit sloppy if you don’t tune it.
I've noticed twice that you say this is not for higher SPL. isnt that the point of going through all that work and opting for the biggest possible cone area as you did? I like a ported vs sealed enclosure for the lower frequencies you can feel, which is what you did... but your results are contradicting.
ICON2010SS spl vs sound quality are two different goals. Obviously it’s a lot louder than stock. 12s pickup lower frequencies than 10s. And if I want to rattle windows I can...I don’t run my gear to the point of destroying my vehicle. I have mentioned in the previous reply’s spl isn’t my goal. Clean sound is and my goal has been achieved!
I See you too have kids lol. I'm afraid what I'm gonna find when I pull my seat
How many watts you got going to each sub
How do you like the sound quality? I know in comparison to the stock 8 inch it’s night and day. I built a custom dual 12” box for my 2011 F250 that is ported with two Rockford Fosgate P3 shallow mount 12 inch subs but curious if you get a deep/deeper base out of that box? Thanks
Keep an eye on all that buds. I had the same 2 12s in my 250 and ended up with leaks. They break loose your cab vents, your 3rd window and cab welds. After almost 2 years I took it all out because I started to smell mildew and found 7 leaks. If you want to fix and keep your subs, take them back out, put silicon on all your welds on the inside. Put a vibration mat/rubber/standing fatigue mat between subs and metal to absorb shock. Delete the right cab vent that you covered with metal or something sealed. Reseal the hell outta the left on or delete it also. If you delete the cab vents then you should make a hole facing down, somewhere behind your back seats to allow air to escape when you shut your doors. Just my 2 cents from experience of the same build. I personally got a solid back glass and deleted the 3rd window bc it's going to leak anyways as your weather seals start to shrink. GL
should have bought a chevy lol
Good heads up! I have kids and really don’t over work this system. I’ve had my 160+ dB rigs when I was a kid. Still hold some spl records for the Portland metro area.. this system was designed for sound quality not spl. Not to worried about seals just wanted full range sound.
I bought same speaker how do i wire them to get the vest out of them?
What's cost on this 18k
I was so good
